Tamara Robinson Ford

Tamara R. Ford, of Camden Delaware passed away peacefully Monday September 4th of 2017 at Kent General Hospital after a long battle with heart disease. Tamara attended high school in New York City where in addition to her studies she played basketball. She loved New York City! She was also a student of ballet from an early age and pursued her passion as an apprentice ballerina into young adulthood. Tamara was a loyal and dedicated employee at ConAgra for over 15 years. Tamara had a love for gardening, flowers, and anything green. She loved her pets and the joy they bought to the family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she absolutely loved celebrating this special day with beautiful decorations, good food, and family. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Sci-Fi and Horror movies. Last but not least she had a passion for fashion and loved shopping. Tamara and her family resided in Holland / Netherlands and France for years. She loved the extensive travel our family enjoyed throughout Europe, often speaking fondly of these memories. State Side, she continued her love of travel, exploring and enjoying the country with her family in the family’s RV. She and husband Johnnie continued their love of RVing long after the kids flew the coop. Education was paramount to Tamara, and she took great pride in every degree and post graduate degrees obtained by her children and grandchildren. She absolutely loved attending each and every graduation until her failing heath would not allow her to do so. Tamara is survived by her husband of 65 years Johnnie Ford Sr, Her son Dr. Johnnie Ford Jr. and his wife Dr. Diane Ford and their three children Jennifer, John, and Jasmine. And John’s son Judson, Judson’s wife Tracey, and their son Gabriel. Her daughter Tamara Ann Green and husband Thomas Green and Ann’s sons Desmond and Devin. Her daughter Dr. Deborah Ford and her wife Janet Dempsey. Her daughter Constance Hatton and her husband Wilkins Hatton II and their three children Wilkins III, Corinne, and Hamilton.
