Stephon Lewis Shivers

Stephon’s Legacy “The Lord is My Shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm23:1 Stephon Lewis Shivers was born in the State of Florida. Later his Mother came back to Salisbury, Maryland and resided there until her death. Stephon departed this life on June 5, 2023 at Deers Head Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland at the age of sixty-one (61). Born on Tuesday, March 27, 1962 to his late Mother Nellie Cornish and his Father R.C. Shivers, he attended and graduated from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland. Stephon was a very hard worker. He knew what his goal was and he went after it. He was a man of integrity who loved to work. He loved people, and was able to interact with people he didn’t know. He could make a friend with anyone, even the ones who didn’t like him. His first job was Perdue Hatchery, then from there Xpedx, Wicomico County Corrections Center as a Correctional Officer, and lastly, Bates Moving and Storage Company. Stephon was loved by so many. Stephon attended New Dimensions Church located in Salisbury, MD for 30 years, where Rev. Jessie Abbott is the Pastor. He sadly leaves behind: his wife, Fannie L. Shivers of Parsonsburg, MD; his brother, Michael Cornish of Salisbury, MD; his daughter, Nicole Shivers of Salisbury, MD; two grandchildren; four step-children, Shirley Thomas of TX, Cynthia Morris of MD, Larry Snead, Jr. of MD and Clara Morris of MD as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, family, and friends. Stephon L. Shivers was a truly extraordinary man who will forever be remembered as a beacon of light, a source of inspiration, and symbol of unwavering strength. His passing has left an immense void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Stephon’s impact was far beyond his personal relationships. He dedicated his life to making a positive difference in the world. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. He was a true visionary, constantly striving for innovation and pushing the boundaries of what was thought impossible. Stephon Shiver’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
