Shenema Ann Ingram

Obituary Shenema Ann Riley-Ingram was born on October 3, 1959, in New York, New York to the late Raymond and Frieda Riley. She was the youngest of two children from this union. Shenema received her early education from James M. Bennett Senior High School and graduated in 1978. She also attended Salisbury University. Shenema obtained two degrees in Allied Health Services (2018) and Certified Addictions Counseling (2019) from Baltimore City Community College. In the Winter of 1985, Shenema was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Michael Anthony Ingram, Sr. She was employed at Perdue & Dresser Wayne for numerous years. She was also a substitute teacher for special education children in Wicomico County public schools. Prior to her death, Shenema volunteered at different recovery centers in her free time. Shenema was a member of Mount Enoch Holy Church under the ministry of Presiding Elder Dr. Glen T. Robinson. During her time at Mount Enoch, Shenema enjoyed being a member of the Voices of Praise. Shenema was known for her beautiful smile, upbeat spirit, loving personality, and sense of style. She was artistic and had a love of music. In her spare time, she enjoyed singing and listening to jazz music. In fact, she was often remembered by her classmates for advocating their class song “A Long Way to Go.” Shenema enjoyed being with family and friends. You could always find her dancing, having fun and giving someone advice. On August 21, 2020, Shenema departed this life and entered eternal rest. She leaves behind loving and cherished memories with: her daughter, Shakeem Brown of Hebron, MD and son, Anthony Ingram of Parkville, MD; one sister, Gail Copes of Hebron, MD; goddaughter, Tyanda Hackett (Steven) of Salisbury, MD and godson, Terrance Hopkins of Salisbury, MD; three grandchildren, Shakyra Kenny, Richard Brown III and Mikhail Ingram, all of Salisbury, MD; one nephew, Kalvin (Jennifer) Copes of Hebron, MD; sister-friends, Angela Bailey, Martha Peters and Viola Robertson, all of Salisbury, MD; best friend, Melton Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Ingram, Jr., special sister/cousin Vivian Donaldson, nephew Raymond Copes and other loved ones whom she cherished dearly. Shenema will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we will always remember her in our thoughts and memories. Sorrowfully Submitted ~ The Family
