Shelley Jenee Lewis (Gale)

Shelley Jenee Lewis, born August, 28, 1960 in Salisbury, MD, the daughter of Susan Watson Tilghman and the late William Gale, was called home to glory on Monday, October 26, 2020 where she will rest from her labor to be with the Lord. She received her formal education in Wicomico County Public School and graduated from Wicomico Senior High School. While attending Wi-Hi, she was a member of the band-front along with many other curricular activities.Shelley was a loving and caring person who enjoyed spending precious moments with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was also very artistic. She loved to decorate, dance and cook. Shelley was known for her fashionable clothes and hairstyles. She loved children and children loved her. It was due to this loving affection for children, that she chose a career in Childcare. However, as a result to her illness, her latest place of employment was working at the Lighthouse Christian Childcare in Hebron, Maryland. Shelley was a former member of the I.B.P.O.E. of the World Success Temple #154 in Salisbury, Maryland where she served in many capacities of this organization. She was raised in a Christian home, now she is gone home to with her Lord and Savior. In addition to her father, Shelley was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lewis, a brother, Todd Watson; maternal grandparents, Goodsel and Naomi Toadvine; paternal grandparents, Mamie Dashiell, Clifton and Ethel Gail and an aunt, Tamara White. She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her mother, Susan Watson-Tilghman and step-father, Harold Watson both of Salisbury, MD.; two daughters, Kristin Gale, of Salisbury, MD. and Sade Gale of Silver Spring, MD; one son, Milton Lanier of Salisbury, MD; three grandchildren, Jyrin, Jacari Harmon and Mila Lanier, all of Salisbury, MD; two brothers, Jeffrey Holden (Talina Tiffany) of Philadelphia, PA. and Devery Watson (Teresa) of Salisbury, MD; one sister, Tiah Rhock (Darryl) of Salisbury, MD ; two god-children, Tamila Dennis of Salisbury, MD and Qyree Hicks of Raleigh, NC.; father and mother-in-law, Archie and Sterline Lewis of Salisbury, MD. a special aunt, Phyllis Thomas, two devoted lifelong friends, Delphine Perry and Tanya Smith, both of Salisbury, MD and host of cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
