Shawn Lamar Cropper

SHAWN’S JOURNEY Shawn Lamar Cropper, beloved son of the late Sheila K. Cropper and Albert Marshall was born April 6, 1984 in Salisbury, MD. He departed this life suddenly at the age of thirty-nine (39) on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. Shawn was a graduate of Pocomoke High School Class of 2002. After graduation, he joined the workforce driving dump trucks and later in the maintenance department of Mann Properties in Ocean City, MD, until his passing. Shawn joined St. James United Methodist Church in Pocomoke City, MD at an early age. “Shawn Booty” or “Boot Luv” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, enjoyed life and had a passion and hobby of racing his motorcycles. His Dad and cousins said, “he was the best out there.” Booty had no fear when he raced his bike. He enjoyed racing his bikes at the US 13 Dragway and at Budd's Creek. He had several trophies and won several money pots, or “a little something” as he would say. His family and cousins supported him at the tracks, especially the Super Chevy Sunday. Shawn loved his family, and he was loved by so many people, especially his biker friends. There are too many to name, but there were two that he was always with, Chuck Victor and cousin, Tony Rubel Booty was a comedian and would keep you laughing at family dinners and functions. He could imitate anyone. We shall miss him, but we commend him to God who makes no mistakes. Your memory will be our keepsake and will never be forgotten. Shawn leaves to cherish precious memories: fiancée, Heather McRoberts; three children, Camille, Mia, and Malachi Cropper, all of Snow Hill, MD; one brother, Jeffrey Douglas (Shara) of Salisbury, MD; three sisters, Sheila Ayres and Darlene Dennis (Daryl) of Pocomoke City, MD, and Carolyn Lawrence (Rufus) of Salisbury, MD; four aunts, Rosa Lee Melendez (Daniel), Annie Mae Savage, Malinda Tull, and Jeanie Mason, all of Pocomoke City, MD; four uncles, Willie Rubel of Salisbury, MD, Robert Revels (Addie) of Temperanceville, VA, Calvin Revels of Snow Hill, MD, and Alvin Revels of Ocean City, MD; extended family, Chuck Victor, Tami and Denny Stambaugh, Ronnie and June Long, Paul and Kelly McRoberts, and his personal chef, Pop Willie Mason, who cooked his wildlife after the passing of his Mother; godmother, Pamela Brittingham; godsister, RaChaya Timmons and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Shawn was preceded in death by his father on January 26, 2021, and his mother, on November 8, 2021 as well as grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Shawn is resting in the arms of Jesus, reunited with his Mom and Dad. Sorrowfully Submitted ~ The Family
