SHARON’S JOURNEY Sharon Denise Williams, affectionately known as “Shuggie”, left this life at the age of sixty-three (63) for her eternal heavenly home on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Tidal Health in Salisbury, Maryland, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Wednesday, September 2, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Agnes (Joseph, Sr.) Sturgis and Roland Spence. Sharon received her formal education in Northampton County public schools and she also attended Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa, Virginia. Sharon found Christ at an early age. During her Christian journey, she became a member of Open Door in Princess Anne, Maryland. She was employed at Mountaire Farms in Selbyville, Delaware as a Line Leader before she became ill. Sharon had a love for the beach, listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, cooking, writing, crabbing, sewing, fishing, knitting, and was very sharp with a pool stick. Sharon leaves to cherish many memories: her six children, Rhonda (Russell III) Williams of Princess Anne, Maryland, LaShone Williams, Burley Williams, Ushika Williams, Nelson Williams and Shatesia Williams, all of Salisbury, Maryland; thirteen grandchildren, DayQuan, Dezerra, NyKerria, DeAzha, Lymayia, Ariyonna, Jymere, Nariyah, Jayden, Ashton, Nazaire Breland and Sa’Naiya twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Wanda Williams of Bellehaven, Virginia, Delores (Ray) of Westover, Maryland, Wilda of Wilmington, Delaware and Centra (Trent) of Salisbury, Maryland; five brothers, Allen (Lucille), Edward (Virginia) and Ronald (Wanda), all of Salisbury, Maryland, Roland (Christine) of Painter, Virginia, Joseph (Diane) Nassawadox, Virginia; uncle, David, Sr. (Mildred) of Salisbury, Maryland; one special niece, Towannia Williams; two special friends, Christeen Thomas and Allene Dickerson and one special god daughter, Cassandra Custis. Sharon will be deeply missed. We give thanks for all the wonderful memories that will last an eternity. Sharon was a loving aunt and friend and bonus mother to many with whom she came in contact. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, DeCarlo and granddaughter, Key’Mia Williams, and a great-grandson, Messiah Williams. LOVINGLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
