Ruth Eloise Baynard

Her Life Ruth Eloise Baynard, was born on Sunday, February 14, 1937, in Centreville, Maryland, to the late Charles Alfred Baynard, Sr., and Carrielena Tilghman Baynard. After a lengthy illness, she went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2020, at the age of 83. Ruth grew up in Centreville, Maryland, and graduated from Kennard High School in 1955. Ruth held several jobs including Campbell Soup, Grasonville Fisheries, better known as The Clam House, and S.E.W. Friel Cannery, where she worked until her retirement in 1999. Before and during her retirement, she lovingly watched her grandchildren, Carrielena and De’Vin during the day. Ruth was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church from childhood until death. She loved the Lord. She loved to attend afternoon services and enjoyed good singing. Growing up, Ruth loved to sing and she sung in groups, including the Greenettes and the Family Circle Community Singers of Burrisville. She was also a member of the Male and Female Beneficial Lodge #3 in Burrisville, Maryland. Ruth was very humble and appreciated everything that was given to her, whether it was a meal, a gift or some change. She didn’t have much, but shared what she had with others; and the family knew that if Ruth had a piece of bread, they had a piece of bread and if Ruth had a dollar, they had a dollar. Her Hobbies & Loves Talking to friends and family on the phone; watching basketball, especially the Wizards and girls basketball and Word Search puzzles. She loved her family, from her children to her siblings; from her nieces and nephews to her cousins. She especially loved her grandchildren and great–grandchildren. She met life each day with a cheery smile and a special light in her eyes. Her stories The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
