Rosita S. Saenz

Rosita Sigua Saenz 95, of Dover De departed this life on Jan 21, 2014, Bay health Medical Center at Kent General Hospital. She was born on June 8, 1918 in Porac Pamganga, Philippines to the late Juan and Fortuanata Sigua. She enjoyed her life living in the Philippines and the United States. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, the late Antonio Saenz Sr. a daughter Aurora, two brothers Severino and Dominador, and a sister Gregoria Sigua. Rosita was a home-maker; she enjoyed staying at home raising her children and grandchildren. After her husband’s retirement they migrated to the United States. She was very passionate about helping people and was often referred to by her beloved husband as the community social welfare worker. Rosita enjoyed going to the movies with her husband and spending her afternoons and weekends playing cards with family and friends. She had a special love for her pets. Rosita was a kindhearted woman who was known to reach out to those less fortunate, she especially found great pleasure in preparing meals for the homeless, she was a praying mother, she loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church with her family. She was very active at her home church in the Philippines and continued that same loyalty at St. Johns A.U.M.P church in Felton, Delaware. No matter where she worshipped she shared loved and was loved in return. Rosita lived in Dover, Delaware with her daughter Maria at the time of her death, she touched the hearts of all as she would kiss you cheek to-cheek when you came to visit to make you feel like part of the family. Rosita is survived by her five children Lourdes Saenz Pangan of Chuala Vista CA; Frieda Guevarra (Camilo) of SanDiego CA: Antonio Saenz Jr. (Edna) of National City CA; Maria Saenz-Weiss (Alan) of Milford De; and Jose Saenz (Rose) of Eastlake CA; One Brother in-law Ricardo of Texas; two sister –in-laws, Martia and Saning, 19 grandchildren Rosemarie-Tennessee, Russell-San Jose CA, Reuel, Ruby, Ronah, Lawrence, Mark, Svetlana, Tyrell – Philippines, Rodrick-Dover, Jeffery-North Carolina, Joan-Winnepeg Canada, Jamie-San Diego CA, Maryann, Jason- National City CA, Jeremiah, Jorge-Chula Vista CA, Lynah-Peoria Arizona, 34 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
