Rose Anne Burrell

ROSE’S LIFE AND LEGACY Rose Anne Burrell, a resident of Salisbury, Maryland who was formerly from Wetipquin, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Deer’s Head Hospice Center in Salisbury, Maryland at 1:40 pm. Born to the late Thomas and Mazzie Cornish on Wednesday, March 11, 1936, Rose was blessed to embrace eighty-five (85) years of living. Ms. Rose, as she was affectionately known, worked for Campbell Soup Company as an inspector for ten (10) plus years. She then retired and went to work for Little Red Hen Daycare in Delmar, Maryland. She continued her journey working with children at Beaver Run Elementary School and the One Stop daycare center as a foster grandparent, in the midst of her journey. She also worked as a receptionist at Parole and Probation until September 2010 when she fully retired at the age of seventy-four (74). She attended her loving church, United Faith Church of Deliverance in Salisbury, Maryland for more than forty (40) years. Serving as a Missionary, Prayer Warrior and in other ministries, Rose was a humble, loving servant of God. She loved cooking, cleaning, praying, talking on the phone, reading the Bible, watching kids and spending time with friends and family. She loved going out to eat at Dayton’s and having her butter pecan ice cream. Rose loved everybody and even though she could be fiesty at times, she still had a loving, caring, giving heart. She especially loved her great-grandson, Mason IV. You couldn’t tell her a thing about her baby. Rose also loved talking on the phone to her daughter in California and enjoyed looking after her son, Wendol, until he passed. The life and memories of Rose will be cherished by: her only child, Sheila (Ricky) Trader of San Diego, CA; brother, Thomas (Anne) Cornish of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren, Mason Burrell III of Salisbury, MD, Ronald Taylor, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Terrone White of Salisbury, MD, Tyrone White of CA, Ricky Trader, Jr., of San Diego, CA and Dupree Lee of Salisbury, MD; great grandchildren, Mason Burrell IV of Salisbury, MD, Tykeisha, Rashawn and Martez Burrell, all of New Brunswick, NJ, Jaheim Burrell of Pocomoke, MD, Harmony Burrell of Salisbury, MD, Natasha and Elizabeth White of CA and Terrone White, Jr. of Salisbury, MD and host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Wendol Cornish, one daughter, Elizabeth Cornish and Mason Burrell, Jr. To all our family and friends, please know that she loved you dearly.
