Rosalee Marshall

Mother Rosalee Marshall of Delmar, DE, departed this life on Thursday, July 19th 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD, surrounded by her family as they prayed and sang the songs of Zion. Mother Rosalee was born in Delmar, DE on February 23rd 1933 .She was one of 11 children born to the late mother Sarah Bynum and deacon Robert Bynum Sr. Mother Rosalee was united in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Andrew Marshall Sr. on November 6th , 1949 and from this union, there was one daughter and six sons born. Mother Rosalee was a devoted wife and also a very devoted, loving mother to her children, making each of them feel special within themselves. She always encouraged them to be whatever they wanted to be in life. Mtr. Rosalee was very proud of each one of her children. She was also a loving grandma and great grandma. Because of that love, she raised 2 granddaughters, London and lman Marshall. Mtr. Rosalee worked for a short time and then decided to be a stay at home wife and mom. Her love as a mother also extended outside of the family. She was always mothering to the young children and young adults. Anyone that was blessed to know her always called her mom. Mtr. Rosalee showed unconditional love for her family and anyone she met. She touched many lives in a very special way. Mtr. Rosalee enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Everyone loved her afghans, which she would choose to give away rather than sell. She also loved entertaining, cooking and baking for her family. Sweet potatoes pies were her specialty as well as her famous 3-layer coconut cake. She also loved her yellow and red rose bushes and collecting tea pots. She joined the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob at a young age. She truly loved this church and all it stands for. Every time she was in our Father’s presence (our spiritual leader), she would say, “ Take me to see Father.” just to receive a hand shake or a hug would make her so happy. It really meant so much to her. She really loved our Father. She loved the songs of Zion and was known for her piano playing abilities. She was one of the main piano players In District 2. Our Father told her that he truly enjoyed listening to her play. Deep within, Mtr. Rosalee always wanted to be a directress of a choir. She never told anyone that this was her greatest desire. In November of 2006, she was blessed by our Father to be elevated to the rank of Ordained Mother and also at the same time, she was assigned as the Directress of the Heavenly Pearls of Salisbury, MD. She is survived by her loving children, one daughter, Elderess Ellamae L. and Bro. Matthew Maddox Jr. six sons; Elder Joseph E. and Elderess Melvina Marshall, Andrew L. and Yolanda Marshall Jr., Elder Bruce D. and Elderess Mabel Marshall, Elder Leroy A. and Elderess Rhonda Marshall, Alfred and Amanda Marshall and Bro. Rodney Marshall. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, one brother, Mr. Frank Bynum and two sister-in-laws, Adv Sr. Mtr. Louise Bynum and Mother Barbara Bynum and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as friends and extended family. She had love, joy, peace, meekness and a strong faith in God. We thank God for allowing her in our lives. We know that mom’s Spirit is resting with God. She always taught us to love each other and stay united as a family and above all always put God first in everything we do.
