Richard Green

A time to be born: Richard Green, son of loving mother, Hildegard Green and stepson of Frank Green, was born in Germany on Monday, October 7, 1957. He came to the United States when he was five years old. A time to live: Richard was a great chef, loving and caring husband, son, father and friend. He attended St. Michael’s High and Easton High School and graduated from Aberdeen High School, in 1976. He enlisted the United States Army and served in the 82nd Airborne in 1976. He was an E-5 Sergeant and received the Parachute Badge, Marksman Badge, M16 Good Conduct, 2-D Medal, Army Services ribbon and NCO Professional Development ribbon. He was honorably discharged in 1982, after serving for six years. In addition, he worked at Kent Island Yacht Club as an executive chef, as well as at Harbortowne, Elks Lodge, Schooners Landing and Doc’s Grille. At the time of his death, he was employed at Heartfields in Easton. A time to love: In June 1993, Richard met Pauline Camper. They fell in love and married on September 18, 2007. A time to die: Richard was called from labor to reward on Monday, May 25, 2020. A time to mourn: Richard leaves to cherish their fond memories of him, his wife, Pauline, with whom he spent 27 years; mother, Hildegard Green; children, Richard Green, Jr., Lonnelle Green, Travis Green, Gail Slaughter, Nechaka Riddick and Hanee Camper; sister, Petra Green; brothers, Mike and Frank Green; loving sisters-in-law, Barbara Congo, Sarah Copes, Fannie McKnight and Dolly Griffin; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Some of those he was especially close to include: grandchildren, Imani Payne, Imijah Camper, Valeek Camper and Hanee Camper, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Collette Camper; nieces, Lykinda Camper, Kendra Banniser Griffin, Lakeshia Jackson, Chakena Chestnut and Markela Chestnut; nephews; and a host of special loving friends including, Yaco & Carolina Dominiquez, Stacy Mills, Steve Gordon, Charlie Mack, Alicia Headley, Shelly Rodriquez, Mary & Garnett Deshileds, Joe Riddick, Charles Griffin, Quincy Jackson, Ray Dominquez, Lula Mae Wongus, Lynette Wongus, Steven Nichols, Jameel Camper, Penny & Tyrone Mills and Tony & Angie Camper.
