Reginald Brady

Reginald Brady departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Reginald (Reggie) was born in Milford, DE on July 31, 1946. He was the son of the late Norman and Anna Brady. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Coverdale and Dennis Brady. Reggie attended public school in the Milford School District, but attended high School in Dover at William Henry High. After completing high school in 1965, he joined the military and became a decorated soldier. He earned a Purple Heart, Special Forces Recognition, 82nd Airborne Ranger, HHC 1st Platoon 5th Infantry, also 25th Infantry Division, USA RPAC and Line construction foreman. Reggie served most of his military years at Cu Chi South Vietnam, where he received an honorable discharged. Reggie worked in many capacities such as a truck driver and construction worker for: Teal Construction, Wyoming Concrete, and the City of Milford. In his leisure time, he loved listening to gospel music, watching cowboy movies and sports. He enjoyed singing with many quartet groups. He was the family mechanic and the community’s go-to person to get the job done. He took pride in working in his church in various capacities. He held many positions in the church, most recent was as President of the Trustee Board and media ministry. He leaves to cherish his memories four children: Virdina Brady-Harris of Pittsburg, PA, Savonia Campbell of Milford, DE, Tyreese and Tyron Pleasanton of Dover, DE; grandchildren, Charles Brady, Aaliyah Harris, Amber Harris, Natia Campbell, Rondrell Campbell and Rendell Campbell; great-grandchildren, Rashaad Harris, Rondriell Campbell and Miziah Banice. He also leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Teresa Johnson (William) of Milford, DE, Betty Henry (Charles) of Atlanta, GA and Eleanor Hamm (Curtis) of Milford, DE; one brother, Norman Brady, Jr. (Ellen) of Milford, DE; one aunt, Dorothy Cooper of Dover, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends; a devoted friend, Moses Jensen and last but not least his special companion, LADY.
