Raythel Cynthia Manuel

Raythel’s Journey Raythel Cynthia Manuel was born on March 7, 1962 in Salisbury, Maryland. She peacefully departed this life on Sunday, April 12, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Drucilla Manuel and William Manuel, Sr. Raythel was a woman whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to those around her. She was raised in a family that meant everything to her, and throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to those she loved. She was preceded in death by beloved family members who welcomed her into eternal rest. Raythel dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked in the food service industry, spent time babysitting and helping families, attended the WCDC program, and also assisted in assisted living, where her compassionate nature touched many lives. She had a giving heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. A woman of faith, Raythel was saved and baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and she held a strong personal relationship with the Lord. She attended and fellowshipped with several churches throughout her life, including Methodist, Baptist, Free Indeed, and other congregations, where her faith continued to grow. Her belief in God remained a guiding light in her life. Raythel truly enjoyed life. She loved walking around town, spending time with family and friends, shopping for clothes and jewelry, and taking pride in her appearance by getting her hair and nails done. She had an elegant spirit and a joyful personality that drew people to her. She loved to laugh, joke, go out to eat, watch movies, and simply enjoy the company of those around her. Her outgoing nature and loving heart made her unforgettable. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Joshua Manuel; her sister-in-law, Melissa Manuel; niece, Sherri Manuel; nephews, Johnathan Manuel, Taqiyy Abdullah, Andre Green, Rick Beck, and Leroy Manuel; one aunt, Alenen Coston and as well as many cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know her. In addition to her parents, Raythel was preceded in death by brother, William Manuel, Jr.; sister, Hilda Manuel; one niece, Monikki Willams; nephew, Jermaine Green; two uncles, Andrew Coston and Shermon Coston and a host of cousins. Her son shares this special remembrance: "I will always love and remember my mother through the good, the bad, and the sad times. Every moment I spent with her whether talking, taking her out, or taking pictures means the world to me. I may not have done all I wanted to do, but I know for certain that I was her heartbeat. My mother loved deeply, and that love will remain with me forever." Raythel’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her special friend Sylvester.
