Pandora Thomas

Pandora “Pam” Lisa Thomas, daughter of the late George Oliver and Amie Banks Scott, was born February 29, 1960, in Chestertown, Maryland. Pandora was freed from her earthly body for her heavenly body on January 23, 2021, at the Resorts of Chester River Manor, in Chestertown, Maryland. Pam graduated from Kent County High School, where she was a cheerleader, a member of the KCHS Marching Band, Pep Cub, Trojan Club, and the School’s radio station WKHS. She was also a member of Aaron United Methodist Church where she served as an usher, and a member of the Ronald Norris Gospel Singers. She was incredibly talented and while in elementary and middle school she took lessons and played the piano. Pam graduated from Goldey-Beacom College, Wilmington, Delaware, with a degree in business. It was her dream to own her own business someday. She proudly traveled and served her country and is a veteran of the United States Navy, and the United States Army. When she returned to Maryland, she found employment with LaMotte Chemical Products Co, as an administrator and remained employed there until her health no longer allowed. Pam loved a trip to the casino and a good basketball game, especially the Maryland Terrapins. Her favorite way to relax was watching a movie or listening to music. She was eclectic in her taste for both, and had an extensive collection. Pam had an amazing memory. She never forgot a name or a face, and even in her failing health could recall events from days gone by. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her siblings, Sylvia, Rowena, George Jr, and Kevin. Pam fought the good fight. She fought with all her mind, her strength and all of her might to remain independent as long as possible. In her last moments she was still able to acknowledge our presence, whether in person, or by phone technology. She leaves to cherish her memory, two amazing, loving and devoted sons, Alex Thomas and Brandon Thomas of Millington MD; one sister, Georgette Scott of Suffolk, VA; one aunt, Erva Scott of Philadelphia PA; one sister-in-law, Nicole Scott of Rock Hall, MD; four nieces, four nephews, cousins, friends and a dear devoted best friend of forty years, Sudonia Gilbert. Submitted with love, The Scott Family At this time there is no public funeral or memorial service scheduled, however, the family is planning a private celebration of Pam's life at a later time, when it is COVID safe to do so. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, phone calls, and other acts of kindness during this difficult time.
