Pamela Lavern Spence

Pamela Lavern Spence departed this life, to the beginning of an endless life, on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC at the age of 56.Â She was born on September 12, 1955, to the late Ellsworth Spence and Montro and Shirley Wright.Â Â To her family and friends, she was affectionately known as Lavern, Vern, Mom-Mom Vern, Aunt Vern or Pam.Â Lavern was educated in the Queen Anne's County Public School system and graduated in 1974 from Queen Anne's County High School.Â She was Co-Captain of the Queen Anne's County Varsity Cheerleading Squad.Â After graduation, she attended Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland.Â Lavern began her employment with Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF) and then transferred to the Comptroller of Maryland Revenue Administration Division.Â After 34 years, she happily retired from the State of Maryland on June 1, 2011.Â At an early age, Lavern became a member of Ezion United Methodist Church in Batt's Neck, Maryland, where she was a member of the "original" Gospel Echoes. She was also an active member of the Shirley Wright Gospel Choir.Â Lavern had numerous hobbies and activities that she was very passionate about; roller-skating, swimming, gardening, going to yard sales, cooking and entertaining.Â ButÂ her biggest obsession was for the WASHINGTON REDSKINS!Â Lavern had unconditional love for her daughters, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy, but you can really say that the love she had for her mother was immeasurable.Â She was definitely her "Mother's Keeper".Â She also had a special bond with each and every one of her nieces and nephews.Â Cherishing many wonderful and beautiful memories are her parents, Montro & Shirley Wright, two daughters, Andria & LaToya Boardley, five grandchildren, Tyric Hawkins, Eria Clark, Zyaria Price, J'den Clark, and Ashai Armstrong; Godmother, Marcella Bordley, nine brothers, Ellsworth Spence (Patricia), Ray Bordley, Lamont Wright, Michael Wright, Sr. (Trudy), Keith Bordley, MichaelÂ Quimby (Jeanne), Tyrone Roberts (Arlene), Gregory Roberts and Dwight Roberts; three sisters; Diane Greene, Jan DeBrew and Nita Mills; two aunts, Barbara Bordley and Marie Bordley; one uncle, Benjamin Jones of Wildwood, NJ; and very dear and special friends, Arnita Cornish, Roberta Roy, Deborah Jackson, Letitia Mothon, Leola Cornish, Sharon Robinson, Victor Mills, and Dawn Watkinson, and aÂ host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.L.s.d.(Lavern, Sharon, Diane)ForeverTO GOD BE THE GLORY
