Norma J Fenwick

Norma Jean (Tribbett) Fenwick affectionately known as Nornie was born in Delaware June 15, 1953. She was the daughter of Mary Evans and the late Oliver Cooper Jr. and step-father Memphis Evans. Nornie was the second oldest child out of four children. She was married to the late Rudy Fenwick. She resided in Smyrna most of her life. She graduated from Smyrna High School in 1971 and from Delaware Technical and Community College Nursing Program in 1973 with her LPN license. She started her nursing career at Kent General Hospital and later went to Christiana Health Care. She worked at locations such as Christiana Hospital, Georgetown, and Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna where she retired. Nornie was a former member of Morning Star Chapter #7 order of the Eastern Stars. Norma surrendered to God’s will on March 27, 2016. She was a kindhearted woman, a loving mother and sister, a devoted daughter, a spoiling grandmother, a caring aunt, and a dedicated worker in health care. She enjoyed sitting with her mother daily after work to make sure she was okay before going home. She loved her music, loved to cook and enjoyed watching the food network channel. Nornie especially loved crab cakes and lobster tails. She had a contagious smile. She enjoyed life the best way she knew how. Nornie would be the first one on the dance floor ready for the “turn up”. Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon Tribbett and Oliver Cooper, III and her sister, Linda Taylor. Nornie leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing; mother Mary Evans (Memphis); her two children, Maurice Fenwick and L. Tiffany Fenwick: three grandchildren, Tierra, Amiyah and Darius; her sister, E. Jeannie Hammond (Charles Sr.); her brother, Wayne Cooper (Cheryl); nieces, Tasha (Jermaine), Tamu (Eugene III); nephews, Larry (Darlene), Tony (Neva), Marcus (Deon), Damon (Danielle); great-nieces, Jourdyn, Jabrielle, Candance and Harmony and great nephews, Jordon and Jairae and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
