Myrna Neal-Dixon

Myrna Virginia Neal-Dixon, daughter of the late Elizabeth Polk-Robinson and Willie “Tank” Neal was born on May 12, 1938. She peacefully made the transition from earth to glory on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. She received her early education from Phyllis Wheatley School in Bridgeville and graduated from William C. Jason Comprehensive High School in 1957 in Georgetown, Delaware. Myrna’s work history consisted of HP Cannon of Bridgeville, DE, Swift Company of Georgetown, DE, Stockley Center, Cottage C-1 of Georgetown, DE, where she retired with many years of honored attendance. Myrna received Jesus as her Lord and Savior and from that time until her death, served Him faithfully. She loved her family and would tell them when something was going on, “just pray”, “put it in God’s hands” or her favorite, “give it to Jesus and He will make it alright.” She was a member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Bridgeville, DE, where she worked on various committees. Her favorite pastime was bowling. She was introduced to bowling by the late Ms. Nellie Rich. When she became disabled her grandson, AJ, gave her a Wii bowling game for her birthday and that was all she wrote. She would play everyday for hours with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Donald Polk; four sisters, Dorothy Neal, Irene Neal-West, Maxine Neal Hemmeian and Shirley Ann Neal. Myrna leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Robert Dixon “Bobby”; one daughter, Myra Neal-Sampson “Peaches” (Allen); seven grandchildren, Allen Neal (Crystal), Keristen Sampson, Kera Sampson, Keristis Sampson, Dashaun Sampson, Kereny Sampson and Kiera Sampson all of Bridgeville, DE; three grandchildren, Devin Flamer and Dreden Lake of Bridgeville, DE and Daysha Flamer of Preston, MD; two god-grandchildren, Terrance Teagle of Smyrna and Ronika Frazier “little people” of Harrington, DE; one great-godson, Antonio Kiser, Jr. of Harrington, DE; four sisters-in-law, Mildred Polk of Harbeson, DE, Elizabeth Polk of Seaford, DE, Dorothy Gayle (Ashley) of Greenwood, DE, Pearl Dixon of Seaford, DE and Helen Dixon of Bridgeville, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
