Milton Lee Justice

MILTON’S JOURNEY Milton Lee Justice was born on June 13, 1939 to the late Milton and Della Justice in Accomack County, Virginia. He was their oldest of three sons. Milton Lee took his journey to his Heavenly home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2020 from Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Milton Lee Justice received his education in the Accomack County school system. He graduated from Mary N. Smith High School and grew up worshipping at Jerusalem Baptist Church. As a young man, Milton left home to pursue a career. He first moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he honed his skills by working various jobs including a butcher, construction worker and eventually becoming a professional trucker, which became his calling and his passion. Milton drove for Grand Union Supermarkets of New York State for many years, allowing him to be honored as a member of the Westchester Teamster’s local 456. He retired from Petrillo’s Concrete in 1999 and moved to New Castle, Delaware. Milton enjoyed life. He especially enjoyed the challenge of playing chess and had a love for cars. He enjoyed hours of playing and teaching others, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved to play many genres of music. He also had a sweet tooth and loved his mother’s baking, especially her cakes and pies. He looked forward to visiting her during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, when she laid out a feast that he genuinely enjoyed. He married Gloria Gibson on May 21, 1994. This union produced a relationship of devotion and love. Gloria affectionately called him MJ. Together they loved to travel and spend time with lifelong friends and family. His favorite places to visit were Cape Cod, the Monticello and Poconos. Milton was preceded in death by his mother and father, Della and Milton Justice, brother, Larry Wayne Justice and stepdaughter, Nichole Gibson. Milton’s leaves to celebrate his life and continue his legacy: his loving wife of twenty-six (26) years, Gloria Justice; his children, Vanessa (Gregory) Wise of Accomack County, VA, Karen (Charles) Gunter of Painter, VA, Helene (Charles) Turner of Ellicott City, MD, Jeffrey Justice of Denver, CO, Jason Justice of Norristown PA and Jocelyn Justice-McCain of Philadelphia, PA.; his brother, Perry Justice and sisters-in-law, Gay Justice of Salisbury, MD and Pearl Smith of Fredericksburg VA; brother-in-law, Vincent (Patricia) Winfrey; seventeen grandchildren and a host great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
