Margaretta Mae Sample

Ms. Margaretta Mae Sample, known to everyone as Margaret had a conversation with Jesus and He granted her heart's desire. On December 24, 2016, He answered her prayers. She is resting in the arms of Jesus. She was born on Thursday, October 27, 1949 in Seaford, Delaware, to the late Georgia Lee Daniels and Nathaniel L. Sample. She attended Frederick Douglass Elementary School, in Seaford, Delaware then she decided to attend Job Corps in Boston, Massachusetts. Her early employment included working for a newspaper office as a clerk, then at Grant Shirt Factory in Salisbury, Maryland, where she worked many years. Her passion grew there for sewing: she made her own curtains and, her son's clothes and suits. She made Brownie Scouts outfits for her girls as a Brownie Scout volunteer. Her career changed when she became employed at the Stockley Center for over 30 years, in Millsboro, Delaware. Margaret also worked part-time at the Lofland Health Care Center in Seaford, Delaware for many years. She earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license, retired from Stockley and continued to work at Lofland Health Care Center, retiring from there, this year. Along her journey, she made friends with everyone she met. She became a member of Ross Point St. John AM.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. Oris P. Fields. Margaret was an active member serving in church, ushering and working in the dining room. She attended Miracle Revival Center in Seaford, Delaware in 2012, thereafter becoming a member, under the leadership of Apostle Isaac Ross and Pastor Laverne Ross. She enjoyed playing bingo but her specialty was cooking, baking different cakes, and making flower arrangements. With her expert knowledge of creating together with her niece, Jetuan Tingle, they established a business, called "This N That Creations". She was a devoted Mom to her only son, Reginald (Reggie) L. Sample, very special niece/daughters Jetuan A. Tingle, Louella Sample and Katina Rosario. In her spare time, she was a babysitter to all her great nieces and nephews: which she loved to do. She leaves wonderful, loving memories with her son, Reginald (Reggie) L. Sample and Christa Edwards of Milton, Delaware; niece/daughter Jetuan A (Charles) Tingle of Bridgeville, Delaware; five sisters; Shirley T. Sample of Dacula, Georgia; Annabelle (Tony) Jones of Milton, Delaware; Lorelei Sample; Barbara Jean Sample-Bolden; and Dorene (Leondius) Perry of Seaford, Delaware. Two brothers: Mill C. Sample and Nathaniel W. Sample of Seaford, Delaware. Three granddaughters: Sade' S. (Chris) Carter Lankford of Seaford, Delaware; Regineka Upshur of Exmore, Virginia and Skyla' Denisha Powell, who attends Liberty University in Norfolk, Virginia. One great-grandson, Carter Bryce Lankford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
