Lydia Dianne Moore (Mc Glotten)

Obituary Lydia Dianne Moore, affectionately called “Bootsie”, left her footprints in the sand on Tuesday morning, December 11, 2018 at 12:04 am, surrounded by her family at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. Lydia was born on February 12, 1946 in Camden, New Jersey. She was the second child born to the late Robert W. McGlotten, Sr. and Martha McGlotten-Hopkins. Bootsie received her education in the Wicomico County public school system. She attended Salisbury High School in Salisbury, Maryland, graduating in the class of 1964. She graduated from Cambridge School of Nursing in Cambridge, Maryland in 1969 and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Bootsie worked in various health care facilities throughout the Lower Eastern Shore and New Jersey. Her second career was becoming a seamstress, working at Duo Sofa and Eastern Shore Uniforms. She became everybody’s seamstress. If you wanted or needed something made, altered or embroidered, take it to Bootsie. She could do it! For relaxation and enjoyment, she enjoyed drinking Coca Cola, shopping, cooking for family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. Bootsie’s Christian education began at Zion United Methodist Church. Bootsie leaves to cherish loving memories with: her husband, James R. Ward of Salisbury, Maryland; three children, Troy A. McGlotten, Sr. (Jackie), Tracy A. Smiley (Tina) and Patrice A. Robertson (Marc), all of Salisbury, Maryland; six grandchildren, Troy, Jr. and Damien McGlotten, Torrie and Tarryn Haygood, Mark Smiley and Matthew Moore whom she raised as her son; one step-daughter, Eugina Moses-Costen of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Robert W. McGlotten, Jr. (Carolyn) of Ellicott City, Maryland; one sister Cathy McGlotten of Salisbury, Maryland; two step-sisters, Priscilla Connelly of Mardela Springs, Maryland and Mary Henderson of Anchorage, Alaska; a special niece, Genene McGlotten, whom she talked to several times everyday, as well as Hope Brown and Carolyn and Crystal McGlotten; special life long friends, Jeanie Johnson, Judy Allen and Dr. Pasquale Petrera and family; six nieces; four nephews and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Bootsie was preceded in death by one brother, Everett A. McGlotten, Sr., four grandchildren, Miracle and Lydia Moore and Troynell and Akeem McGlotten and her step-father, Otis Hopkins, Sr. Lovingly Submitted ~ The Family
