Louise Ann Majette

Obituary Louise Ann Majette, a resident of Salisbury, Maryland, peacefully departed this life at the age of 71 on Friday, April 21, 2023. Born on June 25, 1951, in Accomack County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hampton and Caroline Kellam. Louise was educated in the public schools of Wicomico County and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Arthur Lee Majette of Salisbury on April 29, 1978. “Weezie,” as she was affectionately called, was employed by Campbell Soup Company for many years before becoming a Daycare Provider, which she truly enjoyed. In 1991, Arthur and Louise stepped out on faith to fulfill their vision to become entrepreneurs and established their own business known as A&L Auto. For over 16 years, A&L Auto was Arthur and Louise’s ministry, life, and passion that touch the lives of everyone who walked through the doors. Over the years, Louise would establish many relationships while working diligently beside her husband. Many customers would come to the business just to get a hug, kiss, or a word of encouragement. She was a lifetime member of New Dimensions (Bishop J.E.C. Abbott) in Salisbury, MD. Over the years she served, on the Benevolence Committee, Senior Choir and Pastor’s Aide. In addition, Louise supported her community by providing food, clothing, and words of encouragement to those in need. Louise was always willing to go the extra mile to help everyone with whom she came in contact. She would often say, “If I have a dollar then you’ll have fifty cents.” If asked how she was doing she would always say, “It is well” or “I am blessed.” Louise was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to countless people, while living her life to the fullest. She loved to write poetry, meet and serve people from all walks of life. She was kind-hearted, generous, funny, and loved by many. She loved spending time with family, and friends, especially her nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She was always everybody’s mother or auntie. Louise was never too busy to call and sing you happy birthday or give you a word for the day. She always ended every call with “Love You and Be Blessed.” She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted daughter and best friend, Delia Jones (Darrell) of Salisbury, Maryland and beloved fur baby and protector Muncho; one sister, Margaret Kellam and two brothers, Hampton Kellam, Jr. (Barbara), Barnard Kellam and a dear friend Walter Banks; special friends who become family, Annie (Larry) McCullogh, Dr. Tammie Wells, Kastine Farmer and Janice Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister Corrine Wright, a brother Emmit Kellam, a niece Sherline Majette, and a nephew Ja’Quan Griffin.
