Louis Gerard Andre Marcelin

Reverend. Dr. L.G Andre Marcelin was born in Les Cayes, Haiti, on February 25, 1936 to Louis Philippe Jesius Marcelin and Marie Delinois Marcerlin. As a young boy his heart directed him towards the service of God. In 1956, he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He went on to study theology at the Catholic College of Mazenod, and continued his studies at the Church of God Theological Seminary of Bourdon in Haiti. In 1963, he married the love of his life Marie Anne Andree Manoli, and with this union Marie Samuel, Paul Andre, Thomas Raymond, Livingstone David and Mercedes were born. He served all his life in ministry, as a pastor, a missionary, and a professor of Theology, in Haiti, the United States, and Africa. He pioneered and pastored for over a decade the local Church of God of Bourdon, Haiti. He was a missionary in Chad, Africa for 2 and a half years, and also was a professor and dean at the Church of God Theological Seminary in Haiti for many years. He was the national overseer of the Church of God COG in Haiti for 12 years, and pastored the First Haitian Church of God of Blades in Delaware for 22 years. Rev. Marcelin departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Philippe J Marcelin, mother Marie Delinois Marcelin, sister, Solange Marcelin, and brother Dr. Dumarsais Marcelin. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Rev. Dr. Marie Anne Andree Manoli Marcelin; Brothers, Adrien Marcelin and William Marcelin; sister, Odette Alexis; children, Marie Samuel with her husband Rhams Bertrand, Paul Andre Marcelin with his wife Anny Marranzini Vasquez, Dr. Thomas R. Marcelin with his wife M. Solange, Rev. Livingstone D. Marcelin with his wife Eunice, Mercedes with her husband Rev. Franck Domond; grandchildren, Rhams Michael, Ruthny- Anne Mercedes, Ralph Louis, Gerard- Paul, Jenelee Orquidia, Orquidea, Luis-Andre, Thamra, Shanaelange, Abigail Adhassa , Tabitha Anne Andre, Lael Dumarsais , Liviyalda She’Andra Diyange, Christian B., Julian, Luke C.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of other relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ, and friends..
