Lola Williams

Lola Mae Williams of Seaford, DE was born on April 14, 1953 in Preston, MD to the late Belvert and Magalene Williams. She departed life on Wednesday July 2, 2014. Lola received her education from Colonel Richardson High School. She was employed at DuPont Nylon Company in Seaford, DE for 16 years. During her lifetime she was employed at various jobs until GOD gave her the vision to open up her own daycare center, which was successfully operated until she became ill in 2010. She was loving, caring, and a passionate woman who touched so many lives. She would give her last to anyone in need without any hesitation. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and many others. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, going out to eat, and vacationing. She was a faithful member of Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness in Bethlehem, MD for 21 years, where she diligently and faithfully served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart and soul. She also served on the Missionary Board, Pastor’s Aide Committee, Usher Board, and would help out in the kitchen. Wherever there was a need, she was willing to assist in any way possible while doing it with a smile. After many years of perseverance and determination, Sister Lola received the Holy Ghost. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, Belvert and Magalene Williams. Also preceding her in death were: Howard Stanford, Ralph Stanford, Margaret Stanford, Pedro Stanford, Ann Friend, Samuel Friend, Eugene Friend, Lela Friend, and Kenney Friend, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories; three children: Derrell Williams, Sr. of Princess Anne, MD., Oneka Williams of Dover, DE., Lori Williams of Seaford, DE.; eight grandchildren: Shanequa Williams, Derrell Williams, Jr., Da’Juan Matthews, Zion Williams, Davon Matthews of Seaford, DE.; Jade Williams, DeAvion Williams, Samori Williams of Dover, DE.; two grandchildren adopted in to the family: Radesha Cooke of Seaford, DE. and Shania DeShields of Federalsburg, MD.; one sister: Ruby Cephas of Seaford, DE.; two brothers: Chester Friend of Preston, MD., Oscar Williams of Oxon Hill, MD.; one sister-in-law: Brenda Hynson-Williams of Oxon Hill, MD.; nine nephews: Jamar Williams and Brandon Williams of Oxon Hill, MD., Darwinian Friend of Denver, CO., Lonnie Friend, Sr., Lonnie Friend, Jr., DeMarius Friend, Williams Adams of Federalsburg, MD., Kenney Friend, Jr. and Devin Friend of Preston, MD.; two nieces: Lela Freeman of Preston, MD., Tamara Freeman of Baltimore, MD., and a host of other relatives and friends.
