Lois Jackson Wilson

Lois’s Journey Lois Louise Jackson Wilson was born to the late Essex and Earlene Coger on April 26, 1937 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She took her rest in the arms of the Lord after passing away surrounded by her family. Lois was raised by her late grandmother, Effie Coger and her late aunt Thelma Martin. She was married to Johnnie Robert Wilson, Sr. on September 21, 1991 until her passing day; thirty-two (32) blissful years. Lois was affectionately called Lo, Mrs. Lo, Mom, Mom Mom, LLCJ, Grandmom Kitty Kat and Grandmom Peaches. Lois’s Family: She leaves to cherish unforgettable memories with: her children, Cheryl Ann Graves of Salisbury, MD, Toni Delores Blount (John) of Palm Coast, FL, April Reneé Jackson of Salisbury, MD, Billy Gene Jackson, Jr. (Melinda) of Salisbury, MD, Victoria Frazier of Cambridge, MD and Johnnie Wilson, Jr. and Anthony Wilson (Patricia), both of Salisbury, MD. Lois also had special grandchildren whom she raised: Lois Evette Bennett (Joseph), Cori Dante Purnell, Raeshema Avril Hitch Whaley (Timothy) and Raymond H. Hitch, Jr. Lois also had one niece, Katrilla Monds Sherrod who lives in West Palm Beach, FL. Additionally, she leaves to mourn her loyal friend and partner in crime, Marjorie Jackson and host of grands, great grands, great great grands, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois’s extended family were the West and Jones families. Lois’s Education and Work History: She received her early education from Roosevelt High School in West Palm Beach, FL, but received her GED from the Wicomico County public school system in 1979. She attended Hollywood Beauty Academy and Wor-Wic Community College, formerly Wor-Wic Tech (Criminal Justice). Her employment history included Campbell Soup, JC Penney’s, Manhattan Shirt Factory, Delmarva Cleaners, Valet Cleaners, Salisbury Police Auxiliary, and Wicomico County Jail and Detention Center. Lois was a faithful member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church, as she was a member of the former Ringgold Gospel Choir, which became the Gospel Choir and she was the last original member. She was on the Hunger Action Committee, Board of Trustees, United Methodist Women, Culinary Committee (Vice Chairperson), Homeless Shelter (Outreach), and was the church janitor for several years. Lois’s Special Hobbies were sewing, dancing, crafts, traveling, baking and having holiday events at her home. Lois was preceded in death by: her sister, Patricia Monds; stepmother, (Mom Sweetie) Archie Lee Coger; stepsisters, Velda McGriff McCray and Diane McGriff Jones; great great grandson, Ja Rhai Mitchell and her first husband and lifelong friend, Billy Gene Jackson, Sr. Lovingly Submitted ~ The Family
