Lillian Catherine Brown

Lillian Catherine Brown 92 of Queen Anne's County born September 23 1932 departed this life September 17, 2025 at the Talbot Hospice in Easton Md. She received her education at the Kennard School for a brief period after the birth of her now deceased son Edward F. Williams. She later obtained her Ged and was married for 61 years to the late Oliver Brown aka "Sonny Pal" who took on the role as a full-time father to her son. She worked at Campbell Soup until she medically retired and obtained various domestic employment. She was a dedicated, respected and considered to be Family with the Millikens and Downes of Queen Anne's County. Lillian also continued to be a hardworking employee cleaning the Centreville National Bank and Town Hall until her end of service. Lillian became a member of Mt. Olive Church when she married Oliver. She served on various committees and organizations. And loved to visit the sick and shut in when needed. She would also go and read the mail or literature for residents not able, taking her granddaughter Angela along. Which led Angela to a career in Caregiving as a result. During her free time if she allowed herself. She loved to travel with her special cousin now deceased Anna Hollis. They sometimes would get lost lol and her son being a trucker had to be a human gps early on. But it didn't stop their bond or desire to do so. She later returned to Mt. Zion now New Hope United Methodist in Burrisville Md. after the closing of Mt. Olive where she continued her legacy of Faith up until her passing. Lillian always advised her friends and family to ask and put their trust in God. She was a night light in the darkness to many with her smile and unconditional love and relentless acts of kindness. Also, a true example of a good old-fashioned Christian. Lillian was proceeded in death by her (father) Marshall Williams (mother) Elsie Williams (brother) Marshall Tyrone Williams Jr (sister) Sylvania Britt (Great grandsons) Demetrius and Joe Finney ll. (nephew) Shelton Hawkins Sr. (Niece) Vanetta Ryans. James Griffin also like a son. Lillian leaves to cherish her memories her sister and close confidant Ceceilia Washington (David) (Granddaughter) Angela Ross A nephew whom was like a son Norman Dyer and extended family. Her chic's as she would call them with her being the Mother Hen to all she encountered. Her great granddaughter Anthoneisha Ringgold (Great grandson) Edward Finney She leaves to cherish also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. And last but not least many Church families. Lillian loved to cater to any occasion where needed. She truly loved to cater to her son Edward and Family pet "Big John who deprived her of a lot of nurturing lol! She also was a sister friend to Mrs. Eleanor Shorter of Pondtown and Theresa of Easton. Ok a host of nieces and nephews as well as the community . If you knew Mrs. Lillian then you were too.
