Obituary for Leaonard Alden Horsey Leonard Alden Horsey Sr., 89 of Crisfield, Md., peacefully departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Tidal Health Hospital in Salisbury, Md., surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was the son of the late Stanford Ira and Annie Louise Horsey. Leonard A. Horsey was born on August 17. 1936 in Hopewell, MD. He was educated in the public schools of Somerset County, Md. He worked at English Grill in Westover, MD, for several years. He picked apples in Massachusetts and Washington, DC, for several years. He worked for F. H. Davis Tractor Company for 7 years, and Jesse Long’s Vault Company in Hopewell, MD, for 23 years, Bill Rice Pipe and Sewer Company, Train Post Furniture Moving Company, and a Pulp Wood Company in Georgia, Shucked oysters for Hayes Diggs and Metompkin Seafood in Crisfield, MD. he also worked at Somerset Well Drilling in Westover, MD. Leonard also cut trees with his sons, Lil. Brother and Leonard, while his daughter, Shalinda, loaded the trailer with wood to sell. Two very special friends: Renee Schoolfield and Connie Wright. His grand dog, Buddy, whom he called daily to ask about. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford and Annie Horsey; his first wife, Lena Collins-Horsey; his second wife, Rosemary Horsey; his brother, Stanford Horsey Jr., 5 sisters, Brenda Horsey, Julia Mayo, Myrna Frances Horsey-Adams, Esther Horsey-Rozier, and Myrtle Scott-Williams. 8- Children: Esther Ann, Leonard, Gregory, Reginald, Denise, and Lynette Horsey, Marie Horsey-Dix, and Stan Schoolfield, 9- grandchildren: Ronell Gale and Leonard Horsey, De’Andre, Joshua, Jeremiah, Austin, and Jerome White, Shakira Hall, and Ronnie Gale Jr.
