Latasha Lavetta Mears-Clermeus

Obituary Latasha Mears-Clermeus, "Piglet," was called home on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was 39 years young. Latasha was born on August 29, 1978, in Salisbury, MD, to Heidi Brown and Gregory Dorsey. She was the third of seven children. She received her education at Selbyville Elementary/Middle School and was a 1997 graduate of Indian River High School. She later attended Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown, DE, where she became a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and was pursuing her Registered Nursing degree. She has seven children and was married to Jean "Sean" Brunel Clermeus, on September 21, 2012, and from this union, three children were born. They resided in Bridgeville, DE, with their children, and recently became the proud owners of their first home. "Piglet", as she was nicknamed, or "Piggy", by her loving husband, was full of laughter and always wearing a smile, loved her family, fun, cooking and volunteering, wherever she saw a need. She was a former member of United Faith Church of Deliverance in Laurel, DE, where she served on the Usher Board and was a youth Sunday School teacher until they relocated . She was known for her most notable sayings as well, such as, " stop the madness,” “don't play me-play yourself,” “don't be jealous”, “waste not want not!" and “I don’t care what anybody says, you’re alright in my book.” She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Nicholas Dondrell Whaley; two aunts, Grace Milbourne and Stephanie "Deenie" Stanley; three uncles, Bobby and Thomas Whaley and Donald Williams; cousins-Shannon and Todd Whaley and Jaquan Stanley, her grandparents, James and Anna Bell Whaley; and father &mother-in-law, Bruny and Marie Clermeus. She is survived by her loving husband, Jean Clermeus; six daughters, Antaysha (Taysha) of Millsboro, DE, Antishea’ '“Shea”, Laniyah “Nykee”, Manasseh “Nasseh”, Tashawna “Shawna”, Lanel “Nellie”; one son, Tashawn “Man-man”, all of Bridgeville, DE, one god-son, Markell Whaley of Milton, DE; her parents Heidi & Noah Brown of Millsboro, DE; six sisters, Shawntae Whaley of Washington, DC, Gloria & Pajuah Purnell of Laurel, DE, Mia Purnell of Seaford, DE and Christina & Latoya Hooten of Millsboro, DE; two brothers, Vincent and Noah Whaley of Millsboro, DE; two grandchildren, Heaven and Tayon Jones of Millsboro, DE; two sisters-in-law, Micheline Dutervil (Pierre) of Salisbury, MD and Brunette Clermeus of Seaford, DE; two brothers-in-law, Ele Clermeus of FL and Jean Clermeus of NY; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and great aunts and uncles.
