Kevin E. Fisher

Kevin Elwood Fisher was born on Sunday, September 23, 1962 to George Gray and Gloria Jean Baynard. He peacefully transitioned to glory from a battle with cancer on Monday, September 22, 2014 at his home in Bridgeville, DE. With the compassionate care from his mother, grandparents and other family members, Kevin surpassed every barrier doctors placed before him and lived every day as a miracle, warming the hearts of everyone he encountered. Kevin attended Howard T. Ennis School in Georgetown, DE, until the age of 21, where he received functional academic and prevocational instruction. In 2004, Kevin began attending a day program at Easter Seals where he was able to make social connections and further his fundamental learning. He fervently enjoyed attending the program. Kevin faithfully attended Mt. Calvary U.M. Church with his mother. In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed singing the Isley Brother's song “Drifting on a Memory”, with a very dear cousin, Sherray; collecting an assortment of watches and cell phones; watching television shows such as: Bonanza, The Rifleman and CHIPS, to name a few; sneaking snacks and spending time with his great-nephew, Jae’Don; and of course, bribing everyone he came in contact with for candy, cookies, or ice cream that he wasn’t supposed to have. Kevin was preceded in death by both maternal grandparents, Glendora and Clifton Jackson, 1983 and 2006, respectively. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Gloria “Peggy” Baynard of Bridgeville, DE; one brother, Reggie Fisher of Bridgeville, DE; one sister, Barbie Banks (Wayne) of Laurel, DE; one nephew, Sheldon Fisher (Nicole) of Laurel, DE; two nieces, Candace Banks of Millsboro, DE and Faith Banks of Milton, DE; one great-nephew, Jae’Don Makoa of Millsboro, DE; one special uncle, Charles “Butch” Johnson (Teresa) of Lincoln, DE; a special aunt, Thelma Gould of Philadelphia, PA; a special cousin, Sherray McDonald (Henry) of Philadelphia, PA; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
