Keith Alonzo Winslow

In Loving Memory of Keith Alonzo Winslow Keith Alonzo Winslow, affectionately known as “Butch” to many, was born on May 26, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Bernice (Tull) and Harrison Winslow. He departed this life on October 17, 2023 in Salisbury, Maryland. Keith received his education in the Worcester County school system and proudly graduated from Worcester High School, Class of 1965. After completing high school, Keith enlisted in the United States Army, embarking on various tours of duty at Fort Jackson, North Carolina, and Bad Toelz, Germany. His commitment to his country and service to his fellow soldiers were unwavering. He furthered his education at Coppin State University, where he pursued his dreams and laid the foundation for a lifetime of achievements. In his lifetime, Keith was united in marriage twice. From his first union with the late Joan (Hill) Winslow, he welcomed three children into the world: Greta, Tisha, and Keith. His second union with Doris (Conaway) Winslow Johnson brought happiness and companionship to his life. For two decades, Keith dedicated himself to the Baltimore City Public School System, where he served with distinction, leaving an indelible mark on the special education program. His passion for nurturing young minds and helping them succeed was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working with him until his retirement in 2003. Keith was known as a frugal spender, except when it came to his family, HSN, and QVC, where he spared no expense to ensure their happiness. He had a deep passion for life, relishing the soothing melodies of smooth jazz, mastering the game of pinochle, finding solace by the waters while fishing, and creating cherished memories while spending time with his beloved brother, Romie. Keith Alonzo Winslow leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother of his children Joan Winslow, and a sister, Ernestine Purnell. Keith is survived by his siblings: Barbra Jones of Petersburg, VA, Audrey Smith of Millsboro, DE, Jerome (Cathy) Winslow of Pocomoke, MD, and Kenneth (LaVerne) Winslow of Orlando, FL. Surviving in his legacy are his children: Greta of Baltimore, MD, Tisha Leigh (Oliver) of Kensett, AR, and Keith C. (Kenyetta) of Baltimore, MD. Also cherished in his memory are his adoring grandchildren; Tarrell, Corey, Kendall, Keionna (Tristan), Tierra, Elhanan, Elyanah, Kingston, and Khaleesi, as well as a host of beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
