Keith M. Harris

Keith Maynard Harris was born on June 21, 1960 in Lewes, DE to William and the late Betty Harris. Keith departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Keith attended the Cape Henlopen School District throughout his school years. Following graduation from high school he joined and served in the United States Marines. On July 16, 1988 he married the love of his life Cynthia B. Harris and raised her two small children as his own. He was always a hardworking man and rarely missed time from work. He was known to go to work even when he was sick so he could provide for his family. He was employed up until his death at Pet Poultry Products in Bridgeville, DE. Everyone knew that Keith was a loyal Washington Redskins fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish, crab, ride his motorcycle, barbeque and spend time in his shed. He especially enjoyed his time spent with his grandson, “Junior”. Keith was loved and respected by many including the Coverdale Crossroads community, where he resided for the past 28 years. He was affectionately called “Sweetheart” by his doting wife, “Pops” by his daughter and “Cowboy” and “Trash” by his friends. Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Harris and his two brothers Aubrey Hall and William E. Harris. Keith leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 27 years Cynthia Harris of Bridgeville, DE and his four children, Keith Harris of New Bern, NC; Devon Dorsey of Bridgeville, DE, Antonio Foreman, Sr. of Seaford, DE and LaTasha George of Millsboro, DE. His grandchildren, Antonio Foreman, Jr., Alyssa Cannon, Kavonna Branson, Anasia Dorsey, A’riya Dorsey and Ava Rodriguez. His father, William M. Harris and two sisters, Sonia Johnson of Lewes, DE and Cheryl (Clifton) Holland of Millsboro, DE. Father-in-law, Oscar (Decota) George of Cambridge, MD. Three sisters-in-law, Barbara Hall of Clarksville, DE, Sherry Powell of Magnolia, DE and Teresa (Keith) Comegys of East New Market, MD. Five brothers-in-law, Carlton George of Federalsburg, MD; Tyrone George of Annapolis, MD; Dexter (Lisa) George of Seaford, DE; Lamont George of Virginia and Terry (Marlena) George of Dover, DE; neighborhood son, Brandon Horsey of Bridgeville, DE; three god-children, Gracie Mae (Antonio) Holder of Bridgeville, DE, Keyona Vessels of Seaford, DE and Nicolas Sivels of Lincoln, DE; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
