Katina Ballard

Obituary Katina Rone Ballard, beloved daughter of Vivian Ayres and the late Rudolph Ballard, Sr., was born in Salisbury, Maryland on a Thursday, October 5, 1972. She was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2017. Katina graduated from Snow Hill High School in 1990. She held employment in the food and hotel industry. “Tina”, as she was affectionately known, was loved by many. Those who knew her were always touched by her beautiful smile. Tina believed in family. She was a loving mother to her three children and seven grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, music and movies, being amongst her family and friends, but most of all having fun. Tina lived life to the fullest! She was never one to stay inside or keep still. Her favorite past time was walking. You never knew where you would look up and see her on one of her daily strolls. One thing for certain is when you did see her, she would always let you know exactly what was on her mind, good or bad. But no matter what she said to you, it was always with a smile. Tina left a lasting impression on everyone with her outspokenness and her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Tina leaves to cherish these loving memories with: her mother, Vivian Ayres and her stepfather, David Ayres of Snow Hill, Maryland; three children, Sha’haira Ballard, Tanay Dale and Kewona White, all of Salisbury, Maryland; three brothers, Rudolph Ballard, Jr. of Pocomoke, Maryland, Antoine Ballard of Fruitland, Maryland and Steven Collins of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters, Mecca Trader of Ocean View, Delaware and Myretta Ayres of Snow Hill, Maryland; seven grand children, Noah Smith, Harmoni Taylor, Hammond Taylor III, N’Kayla Tayolr, Chisiem Taylor, Kamorrah Booker and Kayla Booker; six aunts, Marda “Rene” Rivera of Fruitland, Maryland Sarah Ames, Dolly Williams and Deborah Ayres, all of Snow Hill, Maryland and Corrine Allen and Gloria Loper, both of Wilmington, Delaware; four uncles, Donnie Ballard, Sr., Wayne Ballard and Bronnel Ballard, all of Snow Hill, Maryland and Leroy Ballard of Temperanceville, Virginia; a devoted cousin and best friend, Tionne Johnson of Salisbury, Maryland and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Rudolph Ballard, Sr. and her brother Dean Collins.
