Jessie M. Jenkins

Jessie McEwan Coubrough Jenkins departed this life on October 21, 2013 at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 91 years old. Jessie was one of ten children born to the late Hugh McKay Coubrough and Mary Morris McEwan Coubrough of Scotland. She was raised and attended primary and secondary school in Montreal, Canada excelling in opera, swimming, skiing, track and baseball. Hobbies were knitting, reading, sewing, baking and her love was her family. She was a military wife and maintained homes for her husband, James Allen Jenkins and her children. They traveled from Montreal to Main, Alaska, Ohio and New York until settling in Easton, Maryland in 1972. She served a short period as Housekeeping Supervisor for BOQ on Lockbourne Air Force Base in Columbus, OH. She also worked at Wheaton Tubing in Easton, MD until she retired and became a stay at home grandmother in 1991. In 1997 she became a U.S. citizen. Miss Jessie is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Allen Jenkins; Children; Mary Morgan of Columbus, OH, Pamela Hermes (Jeffrey) of Oahu, HI, Meade Morgan, Jamie, Heidi, M. Andrea, and Hugh Jenkins of Easton, MD. Grandchildren; James Morgan, Heather Mateo (Wyman), Meade Morgan III, Devwon and Brandon Jenkins, R Jarrell, Jessica and Jesse Morgan, Morgan and Jordan Jenkins and Honorary grandchildren; Michael Walker and Calvin Rookard. Great grandchildren; Taveon Morgan, Miriam and Michaela Roper, Jas Morgan, Myra and Anna-Marie Mateo, Dregar Thomas, Mia Terry, Wesley Morgan, Makhyla Jenkins, Jayden Everett-Morgan, Brandon Jenkins, Jr., Daniel Doll, Riley Blallock, Christian Doll, A'Branda Jenkins, Carnez Collins, Isaac Terry, Cullen and Tyriq Morgan. Her one sister Florence Walker of Pincourt, Quebec: sisters and brothers-in-law; Willnettie Gibson, Richard Jenkins (Agnes), Ann Williams, Franklin Jenkins (Hazel), Dorothy Jenkins and Flossie Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by siblings; May Pilkington (Richard), Hugh Coubrough (Joan), Charles Coubrough (Madline), Ellen Snow (Harry), David Coubrough (Melida), Agnes Wynick (Joseph), John Coubrough (Rita), Ina Coubrough and granddaughter, Tyra Wilmer.
