Jarvelle L Glass

Jarvelle Lamonte Glass of Dover, DE, 43 years of age, departed this life in his home on February 16, 2016. Jarvelle was born on July 21, 1972 in Dover, DE. He attended Caesar Rodney Senior High School and also began his training as an electrician while attending Potomac Job Corp. Before coming ill, Jarvelle worked for Ray's Plumbing and Eastern Shore. Jarvelle, known to most as "Mont or Sam", spent his childhood vacations and summers visiting the Glasses of Atlantic City. He also could always be found strolling through the Rodney Village Mayfair area riding his skateboard as a teenager. Still as an adult, you could find him walking around the area and hanging out at the barbershop with his cousin, Worm as he called him (Norman Berry). Mont knew everybody and everybody knew him; it did not matter where you were from or what race you were. He was also kind, gentle and quick to bring someone home. If you were a friend then you were a friend and everyone that he would meet a nickname would be bestowed upon them. His greatest joys were his two great-nephews, Ja'Velle and Semaj James-Glass who he loved watching. Most of all, Mont loved watching television, especially General Hospital and the newest show War Peace. Jarvelle was preceded in death by his father, Edwin S. Glass; his brother, Bryan E. Glass and both maternal and paternal grandparents, Dorothy and George Holmes and Dorothy and Odell Glass, Sr. He leaves to cherish his fond memories his mother, Barbara Holmes Roland (David); three uncles, James Glass (Mae) of Dover, DE and Carlton Glass (Jeanette) of Dover, DE and Odell Glass, Jr. of Georgia; one aunt, Dorothy Brooks of Maryland; his sister, Angelia Glass (Terrence Branch) of Wyoming, DE; three brothers, Terrence Parker of Smyrna, DE, Sean Cartwright (Ronda) of Dover, DE and Antwon Parker (Tiera) of Honolulu, Hawaii; a special niece, Sade' E. A. Glass of Dover DE; a special cousin who was like a brother, James Markell Glass (Terea) of North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend, George Barksdale.
