James H. Holloman

James Harold Holloman, age 78, peacefully entered into eternity on November 22, 2018. James was born on October 25, 1940 to the late Johnnie Lee Wilson and Crawford Holloman in Cordele, Georgia. James attended the public school system in Georgia. After moving to Delaware, he worked at Perdue in Milford as a general laborer for 46 years. He also drove the bus picking up people for work. Deacon James was a member of Church of God in Christ in Laurel, Delaware for about 60 years. He taught Sunday school for 50 years. He was a dedicated member who truly loved the Lord. He was meticulous about his church. He kept it clean and made sure that it was nice and warm on cold Sunday mornings. Not only did he keep the church cleaned, but he kept the grass cut. Deacon James was well known in the community. He was just a plain old country boy who loved people especially children. Deacon James would ride his lawn mower around the community and hold long conversations with people. He would always share a word about the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. He would also share a joke or two. Before his illness, Deacon James was a devoted family man. He was married to Cora Belle Holloman for 46 years. Most of the time, whenever you saw him, you would see Ms. Cora riding right next to him. He enjoyed yard sales, eating hamburgers at the 4th of July town celebration, watching fireworks and watching wrestling on television. More importantly, he loved lawn mowers, cutting grass, and fixing bicycles. James leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Cora Belle Holloman; children – Richard Holloman, Ronald Lee Holloman, Talisa Renee Holloman; grandchildren – Alex Conway, Brighten Conway, Alyla Conway, and Ronald Watts; stepchildren – Arnold McCrea, Lemston McCrea, Larry (Janet) McCrea, Kenny (Donna) McCrea, Albert (Helen) McCrea, Joanna McCrea, Johnnie (Crystal) McCrea, Michael (Georgie) McCrea; sisters – Ceola (Melvin) Evans, Leola (Tony) Alexander, Nellie Holloman, and Mary Flemings; brothers – Tracy (Ella) Holloman, John (Nancy) Holloman, Larry (Carolyn) Holloman, Rayfield (Darlene) Holloman, Matthew (Denise) Holloman, Crawford Holloman, Jr., and Robert Moral; brother-in-law- Joseph (Gloria) White; sisters-in-law – Deloris Brewington, Barbara Jean Sessoms, and Kelly Brewington, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
