Ida Annette "Cookie" Williams

Obituary Ida Antoinette William was born on December 12, 1978, the daughter of Angie Holbrook and Felton Johnson, Jr. On March 23, 2021, at the age of forty-two (42), she slipped away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Educated in Somerset County public schools, she attended Washington High School in Princess Anne, Maryland. “Cookie,” as she was called by family and friends, later was called “Beanz” in her adult years by friends. While she did not have a church home, one thing was for sure and that was she loved God and expressed it through her praise dance ministry. Cookie loved working until her health began to fail. She was a jack of all trades and was always willing and wanting to learn a new trade. Some of her past jobs, just to name a few, included Treminix, Life Alert, Comcast and T-Mobile. She loved installing security systems and she was a computer wiz. Cookie attended several Technical Institutes to better herself and further her education. She attended Delaware Technical Community College, Orleans Technical Institute, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute and she was also Trade Pipe Certified. Cookie loved people, traveling, driving, spending time with family and friends and just having a good laugh. Cookie loved the water, especially being on the boat, crabbing, fishing and swimming. She was always the life of any situation or occasion. Cookie was a very loveable person, she meant what she said and did not mind speaking her mind and was quick to say, “I wasn’t responsible for the outcome" and would bust out laughing as she told the story. She was very overprotective of the ones she loved. Cookie had a heart of gold and if you needed shelter, food, money or just someone to brighten your day, Cookie did the best she could to brighten someone else’s day despite how she was feeling or what she may have been going through. She did not want others to be sad or worry about her. Cookie will be truly missed by every one. She would say, “Don’t Cry Over Me, Celebrate Me!” She leaves to cherish precious memories: her son, Malachi Williams; mother, Angie (Rena, Sr.) “Peanut” Holbrook; father Felton Johnson, Jr.; four brothers, Shaw Douling (Andrea) of Salisbury, MD, David Clement (Ciana) of West Virginia, Depree Douling (Takaisha) of Salisbury, MD and Rena Holbrook, Jr. “Boo Boo” (Autumn) of Princess Anne, MD; sisters, Enetta Johnson (Toraa) of Melfa, VA, Gracie Fields–Johnson of Salisbury, MD and Nikkie Clements of Ocean City, MD; devoted sisters, Melinda Wise of Salisbury, MD, Tanya Dennis of Salibury, MD and Cortney Deshiell; nieces, Zairia Miles, Gabrielle Rodriguez, Kamarie Winder and Alexis Maddox; great niece, Dy’Laijah Miles; nephews, Reicko Miles, Daontra Mles, Elijah Fields, Kamaron Winder–McCoy, Shawn Douling, Jr. and Isaac Douling; godmother, Cheryl Lindsey; godsister, Nikki Gomes; special aunt, Deborah Bingham; special cousin, Dayshawn Bingam; special friend, Lea Briggs and a host of other family members and friends.
