Harry R. Warrick Jr.

Harry “Roland” Warrick, Jr. was called to his eternal place of rest on Friday, February 21, 2014. He was born February 25, 1955 in Centreville, MD to Harry and the late Iona Warrick. TIME TO LIVE Roland was educated in the Queen Anne’s County Public School System. He briefly attended Prince Georges Community College in Largo, MD, where he studied Mechanical Drafting. TIME TO WORK Shortly after graduating from Queen Anne’s County High School, Roland left his home in Grasonville, MD to live with his sister (Teresa) in Riverdale, MD. He was employed by Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company (Verizon). After leaving the telephone company, he worked several jobs before establishing himself at Xerox Corp. He was a committed, hardworking employee and team player for 30 plus years until his passing. During his work tenure, he received several awards and certificates. TIME TO LOVE During his employment at C&P, he met Peggy Graden and from their holy matrimony one daughter, Taneha Lynette (Baby Girl) was born. Over time, Roland had come to realize that “Baby Girl” was the light and love of his life. He loved his children and grandchildren and spoke frequently with them. His desire for them was to “carry on and prosper”. TIME TO WORSHIP Roland accepted the Lord and felt the need to join a local ministry in the Washington area, Reid Temple A.M.E. in Glendale, MD. He loved to discuss the Word of God, and he was very studious about it. He had read the Bible from front to back several times. TIME TO DIE Roland leaves to cherish his memory; father, Harry Roland Warrick, Sr.; daughter, Taneha Lynette Warrick; stepson, Rodney A. Graden; grandchildren, TrayVon, Demetrius and Cierra; step-grandchildren, Tiara, Niyah and Zacadin; three sisters, Teresa Gaskins-Lindsey, Karen Warrick, Carla Roberts; two brothers, Tyrone Warrick and Daryl Brown; a devoted friend, Kathy Spriggs; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion and friend. He was a happy, thoughtful, compassionate, loyal friend and a hard worker. He loved his movies, music, playing his guitar and was a die-hard Redskin fan. I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
