Harold D. Quail

Harold Daniel Quail, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on November 11, 2016 at Christiana Hospice Care in Newark, DE. He was born on June 26, 1954 in Felton, DE, to the late Herbert and Ruth Quail. He was the last born of 20 children. Harold was educated in the Lake Forest School District, and graduated from Lake Forest High School in Felton, DE. He then served in the Untied States Army for two years active duty, and five years of reserve duty. Over the years, he was employed with General Metal Craft (Hirsch Industries) and Proctor & Gamble. For the past 15 years he was employed with Carl Deputy Home Builders until his health failed. He loved his job and hanging out with his co-workers, Jeremy & Timothy. In recent months, Harold received Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He attended New Life Ministries Church, Dover, DE, under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Lamont Pierce. Harold loved to ride motorcycles in his earlier days. He loved to look at old western classic movies, and he enjoyed listening to music. Back in the day (early seventies), he played the drums in a band called, “The Soul Echoes”. His two best friends, Gus Taylor (bass guitarist) and Greg Taylor (guitar player) played along with him. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and spending time with family and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; Herbert and Ruth Quail.; sisters, Betty, Carrine, Alice, Helena, Harriet, Anna Mae and Delores;, brothers, Calvin, Louis, Robert, Barrett, Clifford, Paul and Herbert, Jr. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his daughter, Sherrie Powell, Wilmington, DE; granddaughters, Damira, Samiyah and Suhailah Britt, Wilmington, DE; three sisters, Dorothy Morris, Camden, DE, Arnetta (James) Brooks, Dover, DE, and Margaret Quail, Felton, DE; two brothers, Theodore Quail Felton, DE, and James (Gloria) Quail, Felton, DE; two aunts; Louise Conquest, Harrington, DE, and Libby Butcher, West Chester, PA.; a long time special friend and companion, Gloria Trotmon of Dover, DE, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
