Gloria Jean Wynder

Gloria’s Journey... On June 9, 2021, our Lord and Savior opened His gates to welcome with open arms, our most Cherished Gloria Wynder, but also known to many as Francis. Daughter of the late Woodrow and Jeanette Brown, she was born in Atlantic, Virginia on January 17, 1946. She fought a long battle, but a battle that the Lord would not allow her to fight alone. In the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia is where she received her formal education. In her earlier years, she was a solider in the army of the Lord, and she joined St. Mary’s Baptist Church in Cranbury, New Jersey. With a heart of gold, not only was she an active member in her own church, but she never failed to make sure that her love for God was shown at other churches as well. After a long battle with cancer, she succumbed to her illness and departed from this earth to reign in glory. Gloria will always be remembered for her generosity to others, her warm heart, her big beautiful smile, her tight hugs and her giving nature, which always allowed her to treat everyone as if they were family. Gloria took the liberty of raising Nate Wynder and Anthony Small as her own. She would not only take care of her family, but also others around her. She worked in the nursing field for many, many, many years, where she left a legacy amongst everyone who crossed paths with her. She was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Fond remembrances of Gloria’s life will be preserved by: two sisters, Barbara Ann Hudgins of Salisbury, Maryland and Juanita Brown of Wattsville, Virginia; one brother, Toby (Ov) Williams of Atlantic, Virginia; her best friend, Sharon Bennett of Trenton, New Jersey; her caregivers/nieces, Janice Hudgins (Russell Millman) and Jeanette Hudgins (Travis Bowen), who provided exemplary care during her last days, both of Salisbury, Maryland and Joanna Hudgins (Jesus Ivan Antonio) of East Windsor, New Jersey and Jacqueline Hudgins (Haroun Bangura) of New Brunswick, New Jersey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In addition to her mother and father, Gloria was preceded in death by her four brothers and three sisters. SORROWFULLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
