Geneva Ella Davis

Obituary Geneva Ella Jolley Davis, the daughter of the late Cornelius (Nebo) Jackson and Isabelle Jolley, was called from labor to reward on August 08, 2021. Geneva was married to the late Clarence Edward Davis Sr. Geneva was born on March 29, 1937 in Rhodesdale, MD. Geneva attended Hurlock Elementary School and graduated from Mace’s Lane High School in Cambridge, MD in 1955. Geneva worked at Harper & Bateman Pickle House now known as B&G Foods in Hurlock, MD retiring on March 26, 2012 after 30 years of dedicated service. Geneva gave her life to God at an early age and continued to serve God until He called her home. She served on many ministries in the church. Geneva served as Chair of Administrative Council, SPPRC Chair, Assistant Treasurer, Usher, President of the Usher Board, Initiator of Family and Friends Day, member of the Women Society, Mass Choir, Senior Choir and the 100 Voices Mass Choir- just to name a few! Geneva loved everyone! You would always find her helping and doing whatever she could for anybody. She lived by her motto; “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ and “Be a friend to all and those you can’t befriend, pray and go on.” Geneva leaves to cherish her found memories, her children, two devoted sons, Clarence Edward Davis Jr. of Hurlock, MD; and Willie Lewis of Philadelphia PA; a loving daughter, Wanda D. Justice (Rev. Lester Justice) of Salisbury, MD; four granddaughters, Kiesha Jones(Roland Jr) of Hurlock, MD, Tywanda Jolley (Brian) of Cambridge, MD, Amber Justice of Salisbury, MD and Tysheria Watson of Cambridge, MD.; four great grandchildren, Marcus Holland Jr, Marciesha Holland of Hurlock, MD, De’ohsha & Te’osha Henry of Cambridge, MD; one great great granddaughter Kylie Freeman of Cambridge, MD, two great great grandsons Marcus Holland III of Hurlock, MD and Oliver Ross- Freeman of Cambridge, MD; one sister, Irish Williams of Cambridge, MD; two very dear friends Dorothy Farrare of Petersburg, MD and Betty Gregory of Hurlock, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends. With Geneva’s love, she became a mother to several people; Bernadine Harris, Sherwood and Joanne Cornish, Leslie Johnson Zachery, Delisa Pinder and the late Irish Stevens. Geneva was preceded in death by two sons, Tyrone Anthony “ Bone” Jolley and Fredrick Jolley; great great granddaughter, Naomi Gaines; brother, Edward Jolley Sr. and her dear friend Juanita Murray.
