GeEtt Cornish Sr.

GeEtt Cornish, Sr. was born on April 23, 1970 in the city of Wilmington, DE. GeEtt departed this life on September 25, 2013 at the Easton Memorial Hospital. He graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School, the class of 1991. GeEtt worked for many years for the Coldwater Seafood Company and also was employed as a truck driver for T&T and RJ Trucking Companies. To know GeEtt was to love GeEtt. He had a very kind heart and he lived life to the fullest. He was a man who loved his family. He enjoyed shooting pool, singing, eating good home cooked food, talking with his baby sister everyday on the phone and riding around with his three best friends/brothers: Rip, Monsunta and Hojane. GeEtt’s favorite songs were “Victory Is Mine”, “When We All Get To Heaven” and “I’m A Soldier” and “I’m Free”. GeEtt was baptized at a very early age at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ Jesus. Later, he became a member of the St. John’s Holiness Church until his health failed. GeEtt leaves to cherish his memories his father, Bishop Clarence Cornish, Sr. (Dora) of Cambridge, MD; his mother, Rosa Lee Cornish of Marion, SC; six children, GeEtt Cornish, Jr. of Cambridge, MD, Tynesha Cornish of Cambridge, MD, Gevon Cornish of NC, Gequan Cornish of NC, Ge’khi Cornish of Princess Anne, MD and GeEtt Cornish, III of Princess Anne, MD; one grandchild, Jamari Cornish-Lee; four sisters, Joyce Bell (Roy) and Theresa Davis both of Cambridge, MD and Priscilla Cornish and Jusortine Burgess (Bernard) both of Marion, SC; 12 brothers, Clarence Cornish, Jr. (Sandra) of Baltimore, MD, James Cornish, Sr. (Suzann) of Cambridge, MD, Apostle Anthony Cornish, Sr. (Edwina) of Wilmington, DE, Jerry Cornish, Sr. (Mary) of Cambridge, MD, Bishop Keith Cornish (Tina) of Cambridge, MD, Apostle David Cornish, Sr. (Dionne) of Wilmington, DE, Prophet John Cornish, Sr. of Cambridge, MD, Bishop Hojane Cornish, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Cambridge, MD, Rip Cornish, Sr. (Monica) of Cambridge, MD, Monsunta Cornish, Sr. (Barbara) of Cambridge, MD and Elder Clarence Cornish, III (Ajia) of Cambridge, MD; adopted brothers and sisters, Dorcas Taylor, Nancy Taylor, Willie Taylor and Alberto Santana; two step-sisters, Tanera Cephas of Columbia, SC and Kishia Cephas of Cambridge, MD; three step-brothers, Dwight Cephas (Dian), Steven Cephas (Tyann) and Brian Cephas (Tameka) all of Cambridge, MD; three aunts, Mother Margaret Cephas of Hurlock, MD, Mary Gregg of Rochester, NY and Audrey George of Cambridge, MD; one uncle, Donald Copper of Petersburg, MD; best friend/cousin, Kim Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Allan Cornish.
