Gazie Lavinia Winder

Obituary Gazie Lavinia Winder, a resident of Delmar Delaware, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Delmar Nursing Home. She was seventy-four (74) years old. Gazie was born in Sharptown, Maryland and attended school there. She was related to the Nutter and Gosley families. Gazie was a loving mother and grandmother. She raised her children in Newark, New Jersey and raised two of her grandchildren, Timothy Williams and Christopher Williams, in Salisbury Maryland. She liked doing crossword puzzles, putting puzzles together, coloring, and reading the word of God. Gazie raised her children in the church where she served as an usher and part of the Intercessory Prayer Team. She taught the word of God to her children and her children did the same. She loved going to church. She also loved to singing and praying. When Gazie prayed, it was heartfelt and effective. Her favorite scriptures were Isaiah 53:5 and Isaiah 54:17. When she answered the phone her greeting was, "Praise the Lord, God bless you." Gazie was a giver who loved her family. Gazie Winder’s precious memories will be cherished by: two surviving siblings, Rachael Johnson and Jimmy Nutter; four children, Richard Gosley of New York, NY, Robbie Williams, Jr. of Houston TX , Mary Williams of Newark, DE, and Charles Williams of Salisbury, MD; two daughters-in-law, Rosalyn Gabriel Williams of Salisbury, MD and Deena Williams of Houston, TX; one grandson-in-law, Tunde Bamgbose; nineteen (19) grandchildren—Timothy Williams of Newark DE, Christopher Williams of Salisbury, MD, Lakeshia Gattis Bamgbose of Philadelphia PA, Robert and Rachel Gosley, Saborah Williams, Niesha, Rashon, Romone, Rakimm, Robbie Bakee Williams III, Basim Thompson Williams, Sha'var, Gazjai and Kjzar Williams, Jzania and Marjzir Whitlor Williams, Tina Williams and Charles Berry Williams; one godson, Jessie Scott of Salisbury MD and a host of extended family and friends. Gazie was preceded in death by her father, Sam H Winder and her mother, Marie Francis Winder, her grandmother, Beulah Gosley of MD and best friend, Matty Pearl of Newark New Jersey.
