Frederick N. Demby

Frederick N. Demby, Sr., 65, affectionately known as Brad, departed this life on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Eastern Memorial Regional Health Center, Dorchester. He was born on May 7, 1948 in East New Market, Maryland, the son of the late Roland and Laura Demby. Frederick Demby was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County. Brad was employed at B&G Foods in Hurlock, Maryland for the past fourteen years. He was a member of Christ Aireys United Methodist Church and often visited other churches in the area. He sang with the Echoes of Heaven and Christ Church Choir and was a trustee, as well. His favorite hymns were; "Show Me the Way" and "All Night". He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland, Sr. and Laura Demby; eight brothers: Charles Williams, Roland, Jr., Lester, Floyd, James, Clifton, Merritt, and George Demby; five sisters: Shirley, Vivian, Ida Bell Parker, Rhoda Cornish & Thelma Dobson, 1 daughter, Tykeria Nicole Demby, his mother & father-in-law: Thomas and Roselee Molock; and three sisters-in-law: Arlene, Marie and Altamese. Brad leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 40 years, Terrylynn, and a son from that union, Brad (Andrea) Demby. He also leaves two daughters; Michelle (John) Lyons and April (Latraun) Fletcher and one son, Frederick (Bonita) Demby: 10 grandchildren, Lorenzo Brown, Diondray Demby, Tiara Brown, Mykeria Robinson, Bert Quailes, Bray'veon, Brayquan, Bray'niva, Breajah, and Brad, Jr.; 7 great grand children; one loving sister; Pearl Boggs of East New Market; Donald and Pat Banks affectionately known as mom and dad; and three special nieces Cherry Cornish, Arleatha and Sandy Demby. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law; Dr. Theresa (Lewis) Stafford, Dr. Norby (James) Lee, Lynn (Price) McCoy, all of Cambridge and Jacqueline (Cindy) Chester of Yuma, Arizona; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be a viewing on Friday, February 14 from 6-8 P.M. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 524 Race Street, Cambridge, Maryland and the funeral will be Saturday, February 15 at 11 A.M. at Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 425 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613.
