Evelyn Louise Jones-Kelley

Evelyn Louise Jones-Kelley a resident of Fruitland, Maryland was born on June 5, 1950. Affectionately known as Bea, she is the middle daughter of nine children to Gilbert and Alene Jones. She passed away September 15, 2022, on Thursday at 12:15 pm at the Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury, MD. In Evelyn's childhood years, she attended Mt. Vernon Elementary School and Somerset Junior-Senior High School in Princess Anne, Maryland. She was in the last graduating class in 1969. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. After graduating she worked 34 years at UMES in the Basic Skills Department and with the PACE Program during the summers until her retirement. Evelyn also became a baptized member of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Westover, MD congregation and some years later moved to Fruitland, MD where she was a faithful servant until her passing. Evelyn was a very caring, hard working, determined, humble person with a great sense of humor. She was also a loving grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved her Pepsi and apple pie. She was known for her fried chicken, chicken and dumplings and made some awesome deviled eggs. Every Wednesday and Sunday she made sure to call and check on her loved ones. Regardless of her health issues she made sure to attend her meetings with her spiritual family at the Kingdom Hall whether in person or virtual. Evelyn truly believed in the scripture at Revelation 21: 3,4. That one day we will all be free from sickness, pain and death. Evelyn always when asked how are doing would always say I'm okay. And thanks to Jehovah's promise she will be okay. Her loving memories will be cherished by: her daughter, Kenisha E. Kelley-Foster (Garnett Foster), Grand children, Kiarra L. Kelley, Kristian D. Kelley (Taniqua Kelley), and Kordell M. Kelley-Rawl, One sister, Joyce Murray (Tyrone Murray Sr.), Brothers- Rick Jones, Keith Jones, Corey Jones and Christopher Jones, Sister-in-law Brenda Hughey-Jones, Nieces and Nephews, great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two brothers (Louis Jones and Wilbur Jones), and one sister (Jennifer Jones). JUST RESTING, NOT GOODBYE, BUT SEE YOU SOON IN THE NEW WORLD!!!!
