Ethel M Woolford

Ethel Marie Woolford, daughter of the late Clemon and Mary Parker, the sixth of ten children, departed her life at the age of 77 on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Easton Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Ethel was born on July 29, 1938 on a camp in Waddell’s Corner located in Hurlock, Maryland. She received her education in Dorchester County with the class of 1957. She was a member of Hurlock United Methodist Church. Growing up, she worked in the fields with her father. Throughout the years, she worked as a butcher in Crisfield, MD, ConAgra, and later B&G where she retired after 19 years in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with all her family, carrying the grandchildren on trips, going Christmas shopping. scratching her Bingo (getting five at a time), going to church on Wednesday mornings with her granddaughter, taking care of her great-grandchildren, Meer and O. B., and going to get her two McChicken's with no mayo from McDonalds. Most of all she loved to go riding with her baby girl, Reat to the movies to see Tyler Perry and Kevin Hart. Ethel leaves to cherish memories her husband, Albert Woolford of 63 years; three sons, Kevin Parker, Sr. of Hurlock, MD, Albert Mouring (Shanelle) of Preston, MD; Thorrind Woolford (Mona) of Hurlock, MD; two daughters, Eu-Nise Woolford of Federalsburg, MD and Aretha Woolford (Domingo) of Hurlock, MD; a granddaughter they raised as their own, Althorias Woolford (Harold) of Hurlock, MD; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Alberta Brown (Robert) of Melvin, AR and Bleanch Quails of Salisbury, MD; one aunt, Ella Holland of Hurlock, MD; one uncle, Ray Wright of Easton, MD; two brothers-in-law, Merrick Woolford of Baltimore, MD and Wendell Woolford of Raeford, NC: three sisters-in-law, Gloria Parker, Helen Woolford of Baltimore, MD and Sula Parker of Wilmington, DE; and a host of other family and friends. Ethel and Albert were together for 63 years and married for 52 years on July 1, 1963, she never removed her ring until the day she died because her husband, Albert wanted to keep a part of his wife with him.
