Emmanuel “Frenchy” Simplice December 20, 1982 - January 12, 2024 Long Live Frenchy Emmanuel Simplice heard the call of the Lord and peacefully transitioned from this life on January 12, 2024, at the age of forty-one (41), surrounded by his loving family and friends. Emmanuel was born on December 20, 1982 to his devoted parents, Nicomed Irard and Laure Simplice. As a young teen, he relocated to the United States from the beautiful island of Saint Martin. He attended James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland where he inherited the nickname “Frenchy”, which remained with him throughout his life. After graduation he pursued his passion for food by becoming a chef for numerous years. He later realized his real gift was sales. Frenchy dominated the car business for over twelve (12) years at Pohanka Automotive of Salisbury, where he won multiple awards, even adapting a new phrase, “Frenchy Clean.” In 2015, Emmanuel met Whitney and at first sight, he told her she would be his wife. On January 14, 2022 he kept his promise and they were married. Frenchie loved his family passionately without reservation. He took great pride in being his family’s protector and provider. Frenchy was an extraordinary man who loved his family and friends deeply. He was literally the one person who could illuminate a room just with his presence. Frenchy’s infectious laugh, unique dance moves and animated stories brought everyone so much joy. From his daily check-ins with his mother (Laure), sporadic drop-ins on his sister (Esther) or simply hanging out with his friends, he was always someplace making someone laugh. Emmanuel was the type of man who never met a stranger. Each person whom he has encountered can recollect a personal depiction of how he specifically touched their lives. Frenchy will be profoundly missed yet we must remember that REAL LOVE IS FOREVER. Emmanuel leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: his Wife, Whitney Simplice; three Children, SaMaria, JazLeyn and JahSiah; Mother, Laure Simplice; two Sisters, Esther Simplice and Anyse Ballonad-Gilles (Mario); three Nieces, Jacia Jones, Elodie Gilles and Morgane Gilles; two Uncles, Riquet Simplice (Jennifer) and Henry Simplice (Marlise); one Aunt, Yollette Bonhome (Alex), Fourteen cousins, Shani, Olivia, Jennique, Schimidd, Natasha, Martha, Stevenson, Marco’neal, Stephie, Yolaine, Nadine, Jean, Calix, and Caroline; three God Sons, Mysai Burgess, Kobe Cange and Kanden Cange; His “Chosen Family” as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. Emmanuel was preceded in death by his father Nicomed Irard.
