EFREM’S JOURNEY... With profound admiration and respect, we celebrate the life of Efrem Christopher Murray, Jr., affectionately known as EJ, who departed this life on Monday, April 22, 2024, in Baltimore, Maryland. Efrem was born on Saturday, July 3, 1993, at Dorchester General Hospital, to Efrem Christopher Murray, Sr. and the late Anika Jenkins. He was educated in the Dorchester County public school system. EJ loved to rap and his favorite artist was Meek Mill. He loved football and his favorite team was the Arizona Cardinals. He also loved basketball and his favorite team was the Philadelphia 76’ers. EJ leaves a legacy of love and precious memories with: his father, Efrem Christopher Murray, Sr. of Cambridge, MD; four brothers, Keizye Collins and DesJuan T. Murray, both of Cambridge, MD, Damonte Bailey and JyShawn Copper, both of Easton, MD; two sisters, Daeyanna T. Murray of Cambridge, MD and Ja’Shiya Copper of Easton, MD; one niece, D’Ari Brooks of Cambridge, MD; grandmother, Bernadette T. Murray of Cambridge, MD; grandfather, Lawrence James (Cynthia) of Cambridge, MD; step-grandfather, Evans Sharp of Cambridge, MD; two great grandmothers, Edith G. Murray of Trappe, MD and Gloria James of Cambridge, MD; two loving aunts who helped to raise him like he was their son, Shonda Jenkins of Erie, PA and Rasheka Molock Bailey (Darnell) of Cambridge, MD; two very special great aunts whom he loved and adored, Lauretta M.
