Edward West Jr.

Reflection of Life I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7 On Sunday, March 18, 2018, God, in His infinite wisdom, called to eternal rest our beloved Edward West, Jr. He was born on September 1, 1955 in Accomack County, Virginia to the late Edward West, Sr. and Glorious Mae West. He received his education in the public schools of Accomack County. Later in life, Edward moved to Ocean City, Maryland where he worked as a Pastry Chef at the Commander Hotel for several years. Upon leaving Ocean City, Maryland, he moved to Elizabeth City, New Jersey, where he worked as a forklift driver at P. Judge and Sons for 13 years. After leaving New Jersey, Edward decided to move back to Virginia. (“West”), as he was affectionately known by his friends, enjoyed playing dominoes. He played dominoes so well they gave him the nickname “Domino King.” He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In 2003, Edward met Jacqueline Brisco and they were united in Holy Matrimony in 2005. Edward attended the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where he later joined and became a member of the Male Chorus. Edward loved the Lord. He enjoyed getting up every Sunday morning, ready and willing to go and give God all the praise, until his health began to fail. Edward leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife of twelve (12) years, Jacqueline West; three sons, Tamaze Brisco and Dominic Brisco, both of Treherneville, Virginia and Akeem Wilson of Selma, Alabama; two daughters, Lawanda Adams and Dominique Wilson, both of Elizabeth, New Jersey; one god daughter, Danielle Walton of Elizabeth, New Jersey; five sisters, Lucille Morrero of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ann Bogan (Bernard) of Dover, Delaware, Edith Allen and Emma Howard, both of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Dianne Morris of Chester, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Norman West (Sheila) of Wilmington, Delaware and Jeffery and Tyrone Morris, both of Chester, Pennsylvania; one aunt, Alice Kellam of Franktown, Virginia; father-in-law, James Brisco of Exmore, Virginia; seven sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; 3 special aunts, Sharlene Bisco, Juanita Maddox and Mary Jones; a special cousin, George Watson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; special friends, Bobby Watson, Roland Smith and Lionel Chandler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, one son Eddie and a brother, Edward West.
