Earndeaner King

Earndeaner King, a resident of Allen, Maryland, departed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Chester River Manor Nursing Home in Chestertown, Maryland. She lived for eighty-two wonderful years. “Daner” or “Momma Green” as she was affectionately called, was born on March 17, 1941 to the late Eulie and Leila Y. Jackson in Statesboro, Georgia. Daner was married to the love of her life for thirty-seven (37 years to the late Douglas “Skippy” King who preceded her in death on March 20, 2018. Daner was employed with Purity Bacon in Salisbury, Maryland, Crown, Cork and Seal in Fruitland, Maryland, Big Daddy’s Restaurant in Salisbury, Maryland and later became a Bus Driver for the Wicomico County Board of Education in Salisbury, Maryland. Daner was a member of Friendship Community Outreach Church in Allen, Maryland. Daner will be remembered for her famous Chicken and Dumplings and Collard Greens. In her spare time, she loved to watch Westerns, Judge Judy, Naked and Afraid and Cooking shows. She loved people and saw everyone as her friend. Danner is survived by: her sons, Anthony (Debbie) Corbin of Chestertown, MD, Douglas (Winnie) King and Alonzo King (Polly White), all of Allen, MD; one grandson, Nathaniel Stevenson of Dover, DE; sisters, Jackie (George) Harmon and Perry Brown, both of Salisbury, MD; one brother-in-law, Naaman King, Jr. of Salisbury, MD; grandchildren, Douglas (Keenesha) King and Jamaal (Renita) King, both of Salisbury, MD, Isaiah (Tishenna) King of CA, Tiffany King of Salisbury, MD and Alonzo King of Baltimore, MD; one special family that was always there in her time of need, John, Sr., Paula, Lawanda and John Long, Jr. Daner also leaves unforgettable memories with nieces-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Eulie and Leila Y. Jackson and husband Douglas King, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Jackson and Ulysses Jackson and two sisters Elizabeth Gillette and Laura Parker as well as two sons, Ronnie King and Curtis King, granddaughter, Danielle King and two brothers-in-law, Robert Gillette and Wayne Brown.
