Dorothy Mae Justice

Dorothy Mae Justice was born on February 20, 1936 in (Marumsco) Somerset County, MD to the late Frances (Frank) Taylor and Amelia Baines Taylor. Dorothy Justice, formerly of Pocomoke City, Maryland, peacefully went home to be with our Precious Lord and Savior on Friday, January 6, 2017 at her home, where she and her late husband, Stanley Justice, shared many precious memories of forty-five years. Dorothy, at a young age, joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member until her health failed. Dorothy was a very loving, caring and supportive wife and mother. She enjoyed many years as a home maker, nurturing and caring for her children. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mom loved planting different types of roses, especially her “Red Roses” and watching them bloom. Dorothy enjoyed canning, preserving and putting away her harvest for the winter. Dorothy will be remembered lovingly and fondly for her determination and strong will. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Even through her pain and illness, she always had a smile on her face. Whenever you asked her how she was feeling, her favorite words were, “I won’t complain.” Mom Dorothy will be so greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, sister, family, friends and all who knew and loved her. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Barbara Ann (Ira) Stevenson, II of Snow Hill, MD and Annette (Dwayne) Maddox of Hebron, MD; one step daughter, Arliece (Edward) Kellam of Temperanceville, VA; one stepson, Barry (Gwen) Fiddemon of Parksley, VA; three granddaughters, one whom she raised from a baby, Shantae (Calvin, Jr.) Jones of Girdletree, MD, Danielle (Flamont) Rubin of Delmar, MD and Latisha Schoolfield of Hebron, MD; one great granddaughter, Lily Schoolfield of Hebron, MD; three grandsons, Ira Stevenson III of Perryville, MD, Linwood, Jr. and Brian Schoolfield, both of Hebron, MD; one sister, whom she loved and adored, Rosa Smith of Pocomoke, MD; one sister-in-law, Mildred Justice of DE and several nieces and nephews.
