Donta Fadell Bailey

Obituary “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 Donta Fadell Bailey was a devout Father, business owner, avid sports enthusiast, fanatical Dallas Cowboys fan, and a Techie/gadget guy. He was "Mr Fix Everything", an Army Veteran and known as a Grill Master, including his perfectly grilled steak. Born January 20, 1983 in Painter, VA, Donta Fadell Bailey would become a well loved and respected Man who never met a stranger. Intelligent and determined to be great, Donta would conquer the world, have a list of achievements and was culturally influenced from his travels abroad. Donta was 2001 graduate of Nandua High school before he enrolled in Virginia Union University. Donta received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Network Security from ECPI Technical Institute, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Enterprise Security American Military. Donta was also a Veteran and received service honors after serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Donta regrettably passed away February 18, 2023 at 2:05am at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, VA at the young age of 40. Although gone too soon from his Earthly body, Donta's memory will live on by the many who knew him. Donta said he lived a full life and wasn't afraid of death. Donta was preceded in death by his Mother, Lucinda Bailey, Grandmother, Alice Mae Bailey and Uncle Cletis Simms. He leaves behind his Grandmother, Annie Stoakley (Henry Stoakley deceased), Father, Kurt Simms, Sr. (Lillian Simms); Donta's children, Dawson (12), Milan (8) and Jabhari Bailey (5); brothers, TreyVar Bailey, Michael Williamson and Kurt Simms, Jr; sisters, Kandice Reid and Lilliana Simms; uncles, Larry Bailey, Corey Stoakley (Monnesha) and Eric Stoakley (Patricia); aunts, Faye Bailey, Sonja Spady (Johnny), Brenda Stoakley and Teresina Crudup; a collective of nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends and his very special life partner, Yendis Fitzhugh. "I remember when my brother, his dad, and I went fishing on a boat. I got so seasick that I threw up on the side of the boat and my brother laughed at me. That was a fun day.
